What Product Management is like at Gusto:
About the Team:
Cashflow touches s a variety of teams all working together within “Gusto Money”. What’s incredible about small businesses is that they generally overpay on their taxes, and this team focuses on getting their hard earned money back to them. The role you’ll fill is leading a team that technically focuses on Tax Credits, however zooming out this is all about delivering cashflow to small businesses. The team has relentless focus getting small business’ hard earned money that is generally sent to local, state, and federal tax agencies redirected and redeployed to their business.
Small businesses don't fail because they're unprofitable. They fail because cash doesn't arrive when bills do. That's the problem Gusto's broader set of financial services capabilities is built to solve.
Tax credits however are one of the most powerful and least understood levers in a broad tool belt. Done right, they're not "savings" - they're capital. R&D credits, WOTC, payroll tax offsets, state and local programs - these are real dollars sitting on the table for SMBs who don't have the time, expertise, or tooling to claim them. Your job is to find that money, get it into our customers' hands, and increasingly, get it there before they'd otherwise see it. Tax Credits is becoming a core piece of how Gusto delivers financial confidence to small businesses, not a side product.
Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:
Spearhead a product and business that turns tax credits into working capital for small businesses. North star: get more cash into our customers' hands, faster.
Here’s what we're looking for:
If you don't think you meet all of the criteria above but still are interested in the job, please apply. Nobody checks every box, and we're looking for someone excited to join the team.

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate location, experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
