About the team + role

We are building an elite team, applying frontier technologies to the world’s biggest financial problems. We're seeking bold problem solvers. Sharp problem-solvers. Builders who are wired to make an impact. Robinhood isn’t a place for complacency, it’s where daring people do the best work of their careers. We’re a high-performing, fast paced team with ethics at the center of everything we do. Expectations are high, and so are the rewards.

The Treasury Operations team safeguards customer and firm cash for Robinhood Securities by owning daily bank and clearing account reconciliations, sweep and settlement processes, and core cash controls required under the regulatory framework. We reconcile balances and activity between internal ledgers, external banks, clearing agencies, and sweep vendors, ensuring every dollar is accounted for and exceptions are identified, escalated, and resolved in a timely manner.

As a Treasury Operations Specialist, you’ll own detailed reconciliation and settlement workflows for our brokerage entities, support regulatory obligations (such as suspense monitoring and reserve‑related cash movements), and partner cross‑functionally to strengthen controls as our products and volumes grow.

This role is based in our Lake Mary, FL, Chicago, IL, or our New York, NY office, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

At Robinhood, we believe in the power of in-person work to accelerate progress, spark innovation, and strengthen community. Our office experience is intentional, energizing, and designed to fully support high-performing teams.

What you’ll do

  • Own reconciliation frameworks across Robinhood Securities bank, clearing, and sweep accounts by comparing internal ledgers to external bank, clearing, and vendor data, investigating and resolving breaks, and escalating unreconciled items as needed
  • Lead daily brokerage cash settlements (for example NSCC/DTC, ACH, Debit Card and other treasury movements) and ensure funding is accurate, timely, and appropriately documented
  • Manage risk for back‑office activities by maintaining strong controls over customer and firm cash, suspense accounts, and exception handling, in line with internal policies and WSPs
  • Develop and refine processes to increase the efficiency and scalability of brokerage treasury operations, reducing manual touch points while improving control quality
  • Act as a subject matter expert on brokerage cash management and reconciliation processes, clearly communicating impacts and risks to partners in Compliance, Corporate Accounting, Engineering, Product, CX, and other operations teams
  • Partner with project and operations teams to launch, improve, and scale Robinhood products and systems that touch brokerage cash flows, ensuring treasury requirements are designed, tested, and documented up front
  • Help craft, document, and implement processes, internal controls, metrics, and reporting (including playbooks, SOPs, and reconciliation evidence) that demonstrate strong governance and operational excellence across brokerage treasury

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related field
  • Active FINRA Series 7 and 99 Licenses with an ability to quickly put your brokerage knowledge into action
  • 3+ years of experience in brokerage operations or treasury operations with a focus on cash management, reconciliations, and back-office controls in a broker-dealer or clearing environment
  • Experience leading or driving projects to automate or improve reconciliation, settlement, or cash-control processes (for example, new rec workflows, exception queues, or reporting)
  • Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment while maintaining accuracy, sound judgment, and strong attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a bias toward ownership and action when issues span multiple systems or teams
  • Experience with data analysis (Excel, SQL, AI)
  • Prior experience at a broker-dealer, clearing firm, or securities operations team supporting customer cash and securities with applicable securities licenses
  • Strong Robinhood product knowledge and curiosity about how our brokerage model and money movements work

What we offer

  • Challenging, high-impact work to grow your career
  • Performance driven compensation with multipliers for outsized impact, bonus programs, equity ownership, and 401(k) matching
  • Best in class benefits to fuel your work, including 100% paid health insurance for employees with 90% coverage for dependents
  • Lifestyle wallet - a highly flexible benefits spending account for wellness, learning, and more
  • Employer-paid life & disability insurance, fertility benefits, and mental health benefits
  • Time off to recharge including company holidays, paid time off, sick time, parental leave, and more!
  • Exceptional office experience with catered meals, events, and comfortable workspaces.
