Accounting Associate

We are seeking an Accounting Associate to join Talos’ fast-growing, tech-focused Financial Operations team. This is a hands-on role supporting core accounting processes, financial reporting, and day-to-day operations. The position is well-suited to someone looking to build and deepen their accounting expertise while contributing to a dynamic digital assets and financial services environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes

  • Prepare balance sheet and P&L reconciliations

  • Prepare and record journal entries

  • Record invoices and support the order-to-pay cycle

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements in line with US GAAP

  • Support treasury activities as needed

  • Assist in preparing audit support and responding to auditor requests

  • Support system implementations and upgrades, including accounting and finance ERPs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience

  • CPA or progress toward CPA preferred

  • Experience supporting financial reporting and close cycles preferred

  • Experience in SaaS, software, or financial services environments preferred

  • Strong attention to detail with a hands-on, proactive approach

  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

  • Experience with accounting/finance ERP (SAGE) systems highly desirable
