Your Mission
As our AI-Enabled Governance Associate, you will help strengthen how lemon.markets runs and improves governance processes across third-party management, partner oversight, and operational controls in a regulated environment.
This role starts with a strong focus on third-party-related governance, including external providers, partners, and intra-group relationships. Over time, the scope can evolve further toward governance excellence, KPI/SLA monitoring, control effectiveness, and AI-supported process improvement.
A core part of this role is to help us use AI and automation in a practical way across recurring governance workflows. This includes identifying repetitive manual work, improving how information is collected and assessed, making documentation and reporting more efficient, and helping turn process-heavy governance tasks into more scalable operating routines.
In this role you will:
Support and improve governance processes related to third parties, partners, and operational oversight in a regulated environment.
Identify repetitive manual work and fragmented workflows, and improve them through better process design, standardisation, AI-supported execution, and selective automation.
Use AI tools in a practical way to support analysis, information structuring, questionnaire handling, documentation drafting, summarisation, reporting support, and follow-up preparation.
Work with internal subject-matter experts to better understand, improve, and scale KPI, SLA, and monitoring approaches across both internal services and third-party services.
Help optimise KPI monitoring, service reporting, and governance transparency so operational performance becomes more measurable, decision-useful, and actionable.
Contribute to making recurring governance work more scalable, consistent, and less manual over time.
Support governance routines such as reviews, reporting, meeting preparation, action tracking, and evidence collection.
Support assessments, reviews, and due diligence processes for new and existing providers or partners.
Support governance documentation, registers, supporting evidence, and process transparency for internal stakeholders, auditors, regulators, and relevant partners.
You’ll be successful in this role if you:
Are excited to learn how governance, controls, third-party processes, and operational oversight work in practic and the can be optimized,
Have strong analytical skills and are comfortable structuring information, spotting gaps, and turning observations into practical next steps.
Work in a structured, reliable, and detail-oriented way, with strong follow-up discipline.
Bring a pragmatic, hands-on mindset and enjoy improving recurring processes rather than only designing concepts.
Are comfortable using AI tools in your day-to-day work and are curious about how they can help make operational and governance processes more efficient.
Are motivated by the idea of reducing manual work through better workflows, smarter tooling, and selective automation.
Have enough technical affinity to understand IT services, service levels, incidents, monitoring concepts, and operational dependencies without needing to be an engineer.
Communicate clearly in English and enjoy working with different stakeholders across business, technology, and control functions. German is a plus.
How we take care of you:
🚀 Compensation package: We offer you a competitive salary, based on your experience and the value-add you bring to lemon.markets.
🏢 Hybrid work setup: You can work from anywhere in Germany within a hybrid model. At the same time, in-person collaboration is a key part of our culture. That being said, individual contributor lemoneers work 4 days or more or more per month on-site in our Berlin office, spending quality time together with the team at events, onsites/offsites or over team dinners.
🌱 People & culture: You’ll feel our culture in the small things, like Polaroids from our lemoneers’ first day and our monthly new-joiner breakfasts. But also in the bigger things, like celebrating the onboarding of new partners or our annual offsites, where the whole company comes together to connect, reflect, and celebrate.
