As the Financial Controller, you'll lead our accounting and financial reporting functions end-to-end. You'll be the person who makes sure our books are clean, our close process runs on time, and our leadership team has the numbers they need to make good decisions. This role reports to the Head of Finance and works closely with our Finance, Legal, People and Operations teams.
This is an in-office role based in our San Francisco or New York office.
Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process — on time and with accuracy
Lead our first audit and manage relationships with auditors and tax advisors
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and equity administration
Build and maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Drive improvements to our financial systems and processes as we scale
10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 2 years in a Controller role
CPA required
Deep knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Experience in high-growth SaaS or technology companies — you understand what "scaling" actually means for a finance function
Strong working knowledge of accounting systems
Track record of building or improving close processes and internal controls
Comfortable working across functions and communicating financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
Bonus: experience supporting a Series B–D company through an audit or preparing for one

Annual salary range: $200,000-225,000 USD
