Position Description

As part of the Deal Operations team, you will serve as a vital component of our global operational engine, focusing primarily on enabling customers to transact efficiently through our established buying programs. Your core responsibility is to drive transaction velocity and backend data compliance by generating accurate quotes, resolving system friction points, and processing standard approvals. This role is built for a highly disciplined operational professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and maintains an exceptional eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

1. Core Operations (Run the Business Engine)

  • Execute high-precision quote generation, data validation, and order form configuration within Salesforce CPQ to keep the transaction engine moving.
  • Streamline day-to-day data and process workflows to ensure customers can seamlessly purchase through established Okta buying programs.
  • Identify and document manual friction points in daily processing to support continuous operational improvement.

2. Strategic Targets (Buying Program Execution)

  • Act as a front-line operator supporting transaction readiness for strategic channels, including AWS/Google Marketplace workflows and Partner First self-quoting initiatives.
  • Participate actively as a primary testbed for new AI-augmented Deal Ops workflows, providing operational feedback to optimize transaction speed.

3. Operational Roadblocks (Triage & Velocity)

  • Rapidly identify, troubleshoot, and flag system logic bugs (such as incorrect approval triggers) that slow down active deals.
  • Unblock daily transactional bottlenecks for Sales and Regional Leads during core business hours, ensuring smooth processing through buying channels.

4. Governance & Guardrails (Policy Integrity)

  • Maintain a "Unified Front" with leadership by adhering strictly to global booking policies and established buying program compliance standards.
  • Help maintain policy integrity by catching process workarounds early and guiding teams back to standard deal routing

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: 1–2 years of experience in Sales Operations, Order Management, Deal Desk, or Customer Support reviewing commercial contract and quote structures.
  • Systems Mastery: Strong hands-on experience in Salesforce CPQ and/or complex cloud subscription management platforms is required.
  • Data Fluency: Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) with strong transactional problem-solving abilities.
  • Resilience & Velocity: Highly responsive; thrives under pressure and is fully committed to working extended schedules during intense month-end and quarter-end close cycles.
  • Process Alignment: Comfortable documenting transactional gaps and suggesting simple workflow refinements based on real-world system friction.
