The Team Mission
Strategic Partnerships is GetYourGuide's partner distribution channel. It generates a significant share of the company's revenue, with a team of 30 people across EMEA, the Americas and APAC. A dedicated partnership tech team sits in Product and Engineering; the Partnerships Director sets its product strategy.
Partners include online travel platforms, banks and loyalty programs, affiliate networks, travel agents and more. The ambition is to triple the channel within three years. That means changing how the channel operates, not optimizing the current momentum.
Your Mission
We are hiring a director-level leader to run the Partnerships function. You will set the strategy for growing the partner channel, set the product direction for the partner platform, and directly lead teams across sales, account management, and strategy and operations. The function was brought together in 2026 from two teams and is being rebuilt around partner segments. You get to shape it from close to the ground up, with the COO as your sponsor, and you run it end to end from day one.
This is a highly visible role based in Berlin, working in a hybrid model. We offer a competitive relocation package to support your move—successful candidates will be expected to be based in Berlin or happy to relocate.
What you will own
- A €400M channel and its P&L. You set targets, own the forecast and partner economics, and run execution across EMEA, the Americas and APAC.
- The strategy for how GetYourGuide wins through partners. You decide where we play and how we win in each segment, from global OTAs and loyalty programs to affiliate and travel-agent programs, and you make the calls on what we will not do.
- The largest partnerships in travel. You personally lead negotiations with our largest partners and set terms that hold as volume scales.
- The supply story. GetYourGuide has one of the largest experiences inventories in the market. You decide how we use it commercially with partners: what we offer exclusively, where, and on what terms.
- The product direction for the partner platform. Partner technology is built in Product, but you set what it builds: the segment problems worth solving, the research behind them, and the roadmap they add up to.
- A team of about 30, and its next shape. Regional leads, segment owners and a central RevOps team. You design the org, decide your leadership bench and raise the bar.
- The operating rhythm. QBRs, metrics and prioritization that turn strategy into quarters of growth.
Must-haves
- 15+ years of experience, ideally at VP or Director level, within a B2B SaaS or marketplace environment. Experience in Business Development and/or Revenue Operations (RevOps) is a plus
- Business unit leadership, not only sales leadership. You have run a commercial P&L that combined several go-to-market motions (enterprise business development, account management, programmatic long-tail programs) and a team of 20 or more.
- Strategy authorship. You have written a channel or segment strategy with clear choices and trade-offs, and then executed it.
- Dealmaking. You have personally negotiated complex commercial agreements with large partners and can point to the terms.
- People leadership. A track record of recruiting, developing and retaining strong commercial talent, including managing managers.
- Product fluency. You can translate partner needs into problem statements a product team can prioritize, and you have worked closely with product and engineering leaders before.
- Analytical rigor. You read the data yourself, challenge inconsistencies, and diagnose funnel and unit-economics problems.
- Execution discipline. A high say-do ratio, sustained through an operating cadence rather than heroics.
- Communication. You negotiate, influence and build relationships at C-level with partners and internally.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience at scale ups or B2B Saas
- Marketplace or two-sided business experience.
- Experience with affiliate, loyalty or fintech partnerships.
