From the original posting

Valence has built the only AI native coaching platform for enterprise, offering personalized, expert, and human-like guidance and support to any leader or employee. Our focus is on the problems that actually decide whether AI changes how organizations operate — the ones with no playbook, no obvious answers, and no guarantee of success. If you want to be part of the small group that defines how AI transforms the future at a global scale, this is your chance.

And this isn’t for everyone. We’re not looking for people who want predictability or incremental progress. We only want those who are restless at the edge of what’s possible, who get bored when things feel “done,” and who are driven to redefine what AI can mean for leaders, companies, and the world. Because at Valence, the work worth doing is the kind that redefines work itself.

The Role

As an Engagement Manager at Valence, you'll sit at the center of our mission to reinvent leadership development through generative AI. You'll work directly with global enterprises — Coca-Cola, Nestlé, General Mills, Prudential, and more — to deploy the first AI-powered coaching solution their teams have ever used. You'll build relationships, drive strategic initiatives, and directly shape the evolution of our product. We're looking for someone who can navigate the complexity of Fortune 500 organizations and turn the potential of AI into measurable business outcomes.

We've been featured in Harvard Business Review, TIME, the World Economic Forum, Financial Times, and Forbes, and named to the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in America. Our clients include Coca-Cola, Delta, Nestlé, General Mills, Schneider Electric, Deutsche Telekom, AstraZeneca, Prudential, CVS, and Bristol Myers Squibb — the companies defining what AI-first business transformation looks like across every major industry.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver on strategic and commercial goals, consistently meeting or exceeding revenue, usage, and expansion targets within your portfolio. Own the renewal and expansion process.

  • Build and grow strategic client partnerships, engaging across all levels of leadership, up to and including the C-suite.

  • Lead the consultative deployment of our generative AI tools within enterprise accounts, translating client goals into high-impact, scalable programs.

  • Embed deeply within client organizations, becoming a programmatic partner and helping them unlock measurable value through clear use cases.

  • Champion behavior change by guiding clients through our consultative methodology, aligning our platform with their most pressing priorities.

  • Partner closely with Sales during pre-sale and pilot phases to shape solutions that convert interest into long-term engagement.

  • Oversee contracting and invoicing, working hand-in-hand with our Operations team to ensure a seamless client experience.

  • Act as a client voice in product evolution, offering insights that help shape our roadmap and improve the user experience.

  • Stay sharp in an evolving landscape — building working fluency in generative AI, trust and ethics in machine learning, and the nuances of your clients' industries.

What We're Looking For

  • 6+ years of experience in commercial enterprise deployment, customer success, or sales.

  • Exceptional client-facing skills, with a proven ability to build trust and drive outcomes with senior stakeholders, including C-suite and executive leaders.

  • Structured problem-solving ability — you can break down complex challenges, connect the dots, and craft solutions that drive results.

  • Proven influence and execution — you know how to partner with busy executives, keep momentum across workstreams, and make progress when priorities shift fast.

  • Strong operational instincts, including a knack for managing the details that elevate the overall experience.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to tailor your style to different audiences and settings.

  • Comfort with data, especially in Excel, and the ability to organize and synthesize information to create clarity and add value.

  • A bias for action — self-motivated, solutions-oriented, and energized by challenges. You move quickly and don't get discouraged by roadblocks.

  • A growth mindset — you actively seek feedback and treat every experience as a chance to get better.

  • A clear "why" for this stage and space — you're excited to join an early startup at the forefront of generative AI, with a mission centered on learning, leadership, and team development.

What You'll Get

Ownership & Rapid Growth

  • Outsized responsibility from day one, with direct ownership of company-defining projects.

  • Work alongside the executive team with full transparency into strategy and decision-making.

  • Shape direction through real-time customer feedback and market insight.

  • Work directly with cutting-edge AI models and next-generation platforms.

  • Build deep expertise in enterprise AI implementation across Fortune 500 companies and industries.

Compensation

  • Competitive salary including base + bonuses.

  • Comprehensive health coverage (medical, dental, vision) from day one.

  • Generous PTO, company-wide R&R shutdowns, and paid parental leave.

  • Retirement plan support for US and global employees.

Equity

  • Meaningful ownership in a venture-backed company at a growth inflection point.

  • Financial upside that comes from scaling fast.

  • Top-up grants as we scale and you deliver exceptional performance — your compensation grows alongside your impact.
