Quick facts
From the original posting
As an Engagement Manager at Harvey, you lead delivery of AI transformation engagements at our most strategic accounts: leading law firms, Fortune 500 legal departments, and major financial institutions. Working with a Practice Director, you assess customer needs, scope the work that delivers most meaningfully against them, align stakeholders and ensure delivery of the outcomes agreed with the customer. You are the person who shifts how lawyers and legal teams think about and do their work, on a deadline, drawing in the right combination of cross-functional experts as the engagement requires. You run the engagement team and manage client expectations from kickoff to close.
Run transformation engagements end to end. Turn the engagement objectives into a delivery plan, align stakeholders across the organization, drive execution, and hold everyone, including the customer, accountable to outcomes.
Bring the full Transformation Office to bear. Understand customer context to identify where Harvey can create the most value, and scope an engagement across all of the areas on which the TO can advise:strategy, governance, technology, process redesign, value measurement and learning and development.
Shift how legal professionals work. Drive durable change by earning trust and influencing behavior and mindset, always remaining grounded in how lawyers and legal teams actually operate. Equip champions, surface and clear resistance, and make new ways of working stick after you leave. You are measured on whether people genuinely work differently.
Orchestrate the engagement team and cross-functional collaborators. Pull in the right Harvey experts and cross-functional partners at the right time, and focus their time where it counts.
Close out with rigor. Document outcomes, open risks, and recommended next steps so the customer and broader Harvey account team can build on the work.
Centralize best practices. Feed what works into the Transformation Office methodology so every engagement starts faster.
4 to 6 years in management consulting, transformation delivery, or senior client advisory, including time at the Engagement Manager, Project Leader, or equivalent level where you personally scoped and delivered complex transformation programs with measurable outcomes. We want people who have been accountable for and run the engagement, not staffed it.
A track record of shifting mindset and behavior among skilled, autonomous professionals, ideally lawyers or a comparable expert group. You can move people who do not think they need to change to actually work differently, through influence and credibility rather than communications volume.
Breadth and the instinct to orchestrate. You are comfortable running several workstreams at once and have the judgment to pull in a specialist rather than go it alone.
Experience managing technology deployments or transformation programs at enterprise organizations, ideally in legal, financial services, or professional services, and comfort with the execution layer: the tactical language of someone who has done the work, not theorized about it upstream.
Exceptional executive presence; you build credibility fast with senior partners and C-suite leaders in demanding rooms and have the discipline to manage their expectations when scope, timing or results shift.
Strong program-management instincts under a fixed clock: you own the plan, surface risk early, and drive to outcomes.
Genuine curiosity about AI and what it means for legal work. You care deeply about the problem.
Comfort operating in ambiguity where the playbook is still being written.
$159,200 - $238,800 USD
