From the original posting

About the role:

Halter runs on data and our systems ecosystem is the engine behind it. As our Finance Systems Analyst, you'll be the person who keeps that engine not just running, but constantly getting faster and smarter. Reporting to the Senior Manager Finance Systems, this isn't a "keep the lights on" role.

You'll play a key role in the day-to-day administration of our finance systems and connected apps, supporting system accuracy, contributing to continuous optimisation, and helping build smarter, more efficient processes across the business. You'll work alongside finance, operations, and our tech teams to identify inefficiencies, build smarter workflows, and leverage AI tools to automate what doesn't need a human. If you're someone who sees a manual process and immediately thinks "I can fix that" you'll thrive here.

Who we're looking for:

  • The Systems Enthusiast: You have hands-on experience with NetSuite (even if early in your career) or you've worked in a comparable ERP and you're ready to go deep on our tech stack fast. You think in systems and love understanding how things connect.

  • The Accounting Foundation: You're a Chartered Accountant, working towards your CA, or have a degree in Accounting or Finance. You understand the "why" behind the numbers, not just the system mechanics.

  • The AI Curious: You're either already experimenting with AI tools to improve workflows, or you're genuinely motivated to further develop your skills and apply them. At Halter, we see AI as a teammate, not a threat.

  • The Builder: You're not satisfied with the status quo. You spot inefficiencies, propose solutions, and see them through. You take ownership.

  • The Fast Learner: You're 1-2 years into your career but you punch above your weight. You're comfortable asking questions, figuring things out, and moving quickly in a scaling environment.

What your day could look like:

  • Systems Administration & Ecosystem Support

You'll be a key contributor to our finance systems environment, supporting user access, configurations, workflows, saved searches, custom records, and integrations with connected apps. You'll help keep our systems clean, accurate, and performing at their best.

  • Continuous Optimisation (Not Just BAU)

This is where the role gets exciting. You'll proactively identify gaps and inefficiencies in our ERP workflows and connected systems, then collaborate on building and implementing solutions. Every process you touch should leave it better than you found it.

  • AI-Powered Process Innovation 🤖

Halter moves fast and embraces technology. You'll actively use AI tools to automate tasks, surface insights, and reduce manual workload across finance and operations. Whether you're already experimenting with AI or looking to further develop your skills, what matters is a genuine hunger to learn and apply it.

  • Financial Integrity Support

With your accounting knowledge or studies, you'll understand the financial impact of system changes, ensuring inventory valuation, GL mappings, and reporting outputs stay accurate. You'll support the finance team with system-driven analysis and help maintain the integrity of our balance sheet data.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

You'll work closely with finance, supply chain, and tech teams, translating business needs into system solutions. You'll be the bridge between what we need and what the system can do.

  • Documentation & Internal Controls

You'll maintain clear, up-to-date documentation of system configurations, workflows, and process changes, ensuring we have a strong control environment as we scale.

Our Benefits:

  • Delicious snacks and drinks are available for your daily flow.

  • Healthy body, healthy mind. We're partnered with Southern Cross Health Insurance to support your well-being.

  • We offer 6 months of fully paid parental leave for primary caregivers, 4 weeks of fully paid secondary caregiver leave and many other parental benefits that support you and your family.

  • Our personal growth is important. Halter offers an annual $1000 self-development budget to be used for anything that fuels personal growth.

  • Our time to recharge is valued, we're offered wellness leave and unlimited paid annual leave.

Our Office First Approach

Humans are wired for connection. Being office first is a core pillar of our culture because in-person connections drive your growth, learning, impact, and relationships. Strong relationships make it easier to disagree, give feedback, and do meaningful work together.

We're office first, not office only. Working from the office is our default, but we flex when needed. We have a high-trust culture where everyone is trusted to do what's best for Halter.

Our office vibe is special, the high energy and spectacular people make work enjoyable. Your growth and impact are unlimited here, coming from solving problems, innovating, and constantly learning from each other.
