Team mission
The Financial Reporting team is part of Group Reporting within GetYourGuide's Finance function. We own the financial statements - the core output that tells GetYourGuide's financial story - as well as the accounting standards and policies that underpin how the company reports. We partner closely with other finance teams and across the wider business to ensure that the output is accurate, complete, and of high quality.
As GetYourGuide continues to grow and evolve, our team plays a critical role in building the technical expertise and reporting frameworks that will support the company's next chapter.
As Financial Reporting Manager, you will own key parts of our financial reporting cycle and serve as a trusted technical accounting authority across the business. You'll bridge accounting policy and business operations - not just applying standards, but actively proposing solutions, advising on reporting implications, and advocating for approaches that work for both the business and its stakeholders.
Your mission
- Lead the preparation and review of the group’s external financial statements under IFRS and support in the preparation over a broad range of reporting-related documents beyond the IFRS financial statements
- Prepare technical accounting memos and position papers on complex or judgement-heavy topics; own those positions to be presented to senior management and to the external auditors
- Collaborate across the business to gather information and produce accurate, complete financial and non-financial disclosures
- Lead the team's monitoring of IFRS developments, assess their impact on GetYourGuide's reporting, and drive clear recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes, accounting policies, and documentation standards
Your toolkit
- 8+ years of financial reporting experience, combining a foundation in Big 4 audit with meaningful in-house or industry experience; strong command of IFRS is essential, US GAAP or HGB knowledge is a plus
- Proven track record preparing and reviewing financial statements and disclosures, with the ability to draft and defend technical accounting positions under scrutiny
- Skilled at working across functions with teams such as Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and Corporate Development to translate complex financial and non-financial knowledge into easy-to-understand, decision-useful information
- Rigorous and deadline-driven, with the ability to manage competing priorities without compromising quality or accuracy
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent)
Extras that give you an edge
- Prior exposure to complex, high-stakes reporting projects (e.g. fundraising, M&A, or significant corporate transactions)
- Experience upskilling teams through training, knowledge-sharing sessions, or building internal guides and frameworks
- Hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g. Claude CoWork, ChatGPT, or similar) to improve reporting workflows, automate routine tasks, or enhance disclosure drafting
And more…
