From the original posting

MaintainX is a leading mobile-first work execution platform for industrial and frontline teams. More than 13,000 customers, including Duracell, McDonald's, Shell, DHL and Volvo, use MaintainX to cut unplanned downtime and run better operations, across 13.9 million managed assets and 79.5 million completed work orders.

In August 2026 MaintainX became part of Autodesk, joining Autodesk Operations Solutions, the organization unifying Autodesk's operations platform alongside Tandem, FlexSim and Fusion Operations. Autodesk's strategy is to converge design, make and operate into one continuous lifecycle: design an asset, build it, run it, then feed what you learn running it back into the next design. Autodesk had design and make. Operate is the phase that tells you what actually happened, and it is ours.

We are looking for Full Stack Developers to join our IAM (Identity and Access Management) team in the Engineering Organization. This role has openings at Intermediate and Senior level positions.

The Identity team builds the systems that power secure and seamless access across the MaintainX platform. We design and operate authentication, authorization, and governance services that scale with our enterprise customers and keep user experience frictionless and trusted.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and enhance IAM features — Implement and maintain authentication, authorization, and user management services across MaintainX, supporting both frontend and backend systems.

  • Contribute to scalable IAM systems — Build and optimize core IAM services that support user authentication, authorization, and access control across MaintainX’s platform.

  • Collaborate across teams — Partner with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to design intuitive identity experiences that make enterprise access seamless.

  • Deliver high-quality, maintainable code — Write clean, testable, and secure code in C# and TypeScript for both backend and frontend components.

  • Document your work — Contribute to and maintain clear, self-serve technical documentation to help other teams understand and leverage IAM services.

  • Support ongoing improvements — Participate in code reviews, contribute to architectural discussions, and help drive the long-term reliability and performance of our IAM services

You’ll work across our stack (TypeScript, React, React Native, Node.js, C#, and GraphQL) - Web & Mobile

  • You’ll work with the team to build, maintain and optimize product features that focus on how our users best collaborate with one another.

  • You’ll actively own team features or systems and define their long-term health, while also improving the health of surrounding systems.

  • You'll mentor other engineers and deeply review code.

  • You’ll improve engineering standards, tooling and processes & bring best practices in planning, developing, testing and deploying industry compliant code.

  • On-call duties

About you:

  • You have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in full-stack software development.

  • Strong programming skills in C# and/or TypeScript, with experience building production-grade applications.

  • Familiarity with React and Node.js, and an understanding of modern web authentication patterns.

  • Interest in Identity and Access Management (IAM) — including authentication, authorization, user provisioning, and permissions systems.

  • Experience designing and consuming REST or GraphQL APIs.

  • Proficient at writing understandable, maintainable, and testable code.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working in a cross-functional environment.

  • An expert level of English, both spoken and written, is required, as the individual will need to lead platform engineering managers across multiple teams, present technical priorities to executive stakeholders, and align with engineering leaders outside Québec on a daily basis.

Nice to have:

  • Experience integrating with SSO protocols such as OAuth 2.0, OIDC, or SAML.

  • Hands-on experience with Okta, Azure AD, or similar identity providers.

  • Exposure to SCIM or other user provisioning standards.

  • Understanding of token-based authentication (JWT, PKCE, token exchange).

  • Knowledge of encryption standards, SSL/TLS, or public/private key infrastructure.

  • Experience with React Native applications.

  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Experience with observability practices, as well as knowledge of observability tools such as Datadog.

  • Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and service deployment practices.

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps workflows to streamline testing and deployment.
