Why Delphi?

Delphi is building the network of digital minds.

For the first time, anyone can create an interactive version of themselves: a living profile that talks, teaches, and answers questions in your voice, with your perspective and judgment, around the clock. The internet gave us static profiles and endless feeds. We're building something alive. People won't just read about you, they'll experience how you think.

This is the consumer shift we're betting on. Today it's thousands of the world's most brilliant minds. Next it's everyone: every thought leader, expert, and professional with a digital mind that scales their wisdom to anyone, anywhere. A new social layer where knowledge is abundant, personalized, and discoverable.

We are trusted and loved by thousands of the world’s most brilliant minds. We have tripled revenue, users, and Delphi interactions in the past 6 months - all organically through word of mouth. We plan to accelerate even further from here.

Delphi’s investors include Sequoia Capital, Founders Fund, Abstract Ventures, Michael Ovitz, Gokul Rajaram, Olivia Wilde, and dozens of founders from Lyft, Zoom, Doordash, and many more. Our team includes founders with successful exits and builders from Apple, Spotify, Substack and more.

The Role

As our Full Stack (Product) Engineer, you will own end-to-end product initiatives that define how creators build and share their digital minds while crafting seamless experiences for consumers who discover and interact with them. You'll architect and ship the foundational systems powering our Mind Studio, our interaction experiences, and our consumer platform across our entire Next.js/Python/AWS stack.

What You'll Do

Own Product Initiatives: drive digital mind studio creator tools, text/voice/video interaction experiences, and consumer discovery platforms from concept to launch.

Architect Full Stack Systems: design scalable Next.js/Python/AWS solutions with durable data models and efficient database structures that support rapid growth and millions of interactions.

Cross-Domain Excellence: seamlessly navigate frontend React development, backend architecture, database optimization, and cloud infrastructure deployment.

What You Bring

  • Proven ability to build products end-to-end with a track record of taking massive initiatives from concept to launch.

  • Deep proficiency in TypeScript/Next.js and Python with hands-on experience in our core technology stack.

  • Strong understanding of SQL, database design, cloud infrastructure, and containerization for scalable systems.

  • Proven experience with systems architecture and API design (crisp, predictable, versioned), queues, caching, background tasks, resilience, and self-healing patterns.

  • Can-do attitude with intense curiosity about technology and the ability to adapt quickly in our fast-moving environment.

  • Experience with LLMs via API integration, empathy for users, and effective communication skills that ensure delivery matches the idea.

  • Bonus: prompt engineering experience and deep LLM optimization knowledge.

Why You'll Love It Here

We work on hard problems. Our team is full of former founders, and entrepreneurial individuals who are taking on immense initiatives.

We push each other. Work from our beautiful Jackson Square office in San Francisco, surrounded by peers pushing to do their best work.
