Global Sourcing Manager

About the Role

The Global Sourcing team is responsible for all direct procurement associated with our Hardware. Our scope includes all aspects of cost management from FATP to sub-tier supply chain suppliers as well as testing, certification, OPEX and CAPEX. Additionally we are the primary commercial relationship owner and manage all contracts. We leverage a fast paced dynamic development environment with first generation products typically moving from concept to customer delivery quickly. Many work streams are done in parallel across all teams to ensure products meet Verkada’s expectations for product cost and quality.

As a Global Sourcing Manager, you will own the entire direct sourcing execution for a product line. This includes using SAS tools and analytical skills, negotiating costs (BOM, MVA) and managing part qualifications for products in production. You will interact with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

What You'll Do

• Own hardware sourcing responsibilities for Verkada Product Line(s)
• Analyze BOM pricing, identify opportunities and negotiate pricing
• Establish good working relationships with suppliers
• Collaborate with and influence cross functional teams to manage production cost and/or quality
• Validate Manufacturing Value Add (MVA) using cycle time analysis

What You Bring

• 4+ years experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain or commodity management
• 4+ years working with international supply chains in multiple time zones and countries.
• 4+ years of strategic sourcing, supply chain, or commodity management preferred
• 4+ years working with international supply chains in multiple time zones and countries preferred
• Degree in Engineering preferred
• Ability to travel up to 30%
• Must be willing and able to work onsite five days per week and be able to accommodate early morning calls.
