Building Healthcare That Remembers

Every time you call a doctor's office, the system forgets you the moment you hang up. You wait on hold, explain everything from scratch, get bounced between lines, and hope someone follows up. Everyone has felt this. No one should have to.

At Assort Health, we're building one continuous conversation for every patient. An AI agent that knows who you are, remembers how you like to be reached, and carries that context from your first symptom to your full recovery. What began as the first voice AI agent to schedule a specialty appointment has become the largest proprietary specialty dataset in healthcare: 240 million patient interactions, 62,000 care protocols, 1.6 million decision pathways.

We went from 15 people in 2025 and will cross 250 by the end of 2026. Revenue is up 20x in 15 months and we've raised $222 million, including a recent $120 million Series C at a $1.2 billion valuation. We've also been named to the Forbes Cloud 100 and the 2026 Enterprise Tech 30 as the only healthcare AI company on the list!

Healthcare spends $1.1 trillion a year on administration instead of care. If you want to help change that, apply below.

About The Role

As we continue to grow quickly, we're expanding our IT team and hiring an IT Systems Engineer to help own and scale IT infrastructure across the company—from endpoint management to identity systems and day-to-day operations. You'll be embedded within the Security organization, partnering with every team to build secure, reliable, and scalable IT systems in a fast-growing environment.

This is a foundational role with broad ownership. You'll take the lead on critical initiatives like identity and access management, device lifecycle management, and IT onboarding/offboarding, while also handling real-time operational needs. As the company grows, your work will directly enable us to scale securely and efficiently.

What You'll Do

You'll be a driving force behind IT at the company—building systems, solving operational challenges, and creating the infrastructure that supports every employee.

Build Our Core IT Systems

  • Own identity and access management end-to-end, including SSO integrations, user provisioning, and access controls across all applications

  • Lead the rollout and long-term ownership of Okta to centralize and secure access management

  • Design and implement scalable IT systems that support company growth and compliance requirements

  • Manage endpoint infrastructure, including provisioning, configuration, patching, and lifecycle management

Drive IT Operations and Automation

  • Own employee onboarding and offboarding workflows, ensuring seamless day-one experiences and secure offboarding processes

  • Handle day-to-day IT operational requests including access management, troubleshooting, and employee support

  • Build automation and self-service systems to reduce manual IT workload and eliminate bottlenecks

  • Establish processes that reduce single points of failure and improve system reliability

Solve Complex Infrastructure Challenges

  • Set up and maintain office network infrastructure, including VPNs, access points, and ongoing troubleshooting

  • Design and implement secure asset disposition processes for retiring and wiping devices

  • Troubleshoot issues across macOS and Windows environments in a fast-paced, in-office setting

Lay the Foundation for Scale

  • Transition IT from ad hoc support to structured, scalable systems

  • Partner with Security to ensure compliance and strong security practices across all IT systems

  • Own key areas of IT infrastructure as part of a growing team, building processes that will scale with headcount growth

  • Provide in-person support and real-time problem-solving in a highly collaborative office environment

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • 3+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, IT Engineering, or similar roles

  • Experience building and managing IT systems and workflows in a growing organization

  • Strong understanding of identity and access management (SSO, SAML, SCIM, RBAC, etc.)

  • Experience implementing and managing enterprise SaaS tools at scale

  • Familiarity with device management platforms (e.g., Jamf, Microsoft Intune)

  • Experience with identity providers like Okta

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across macOS and Windows environments

  • Ability to operate independently and take full ownership of IT infrastructure

  • Comfortable working onsite and supporting employees in real time

Nice to Have:

  • Experience scaling IT systems in a high-growth startup environment

  • Background in security or working closely with security/compliance teams

  • Experience building automation or self-service IT workflows

  • Familiarity with office network infrastructure (VPNs, access points, etc.)

  • Experience supporting compliance frameworks or handling sensitive data environments
