About Pacific Fusion

Pacific Fusion was founded in 2023 with the mission to power the world with abundant, affordable, clean energy.

We are rapidly designing and building a pulser-driven inertial fusion system to achieve net facility gain (more fusion energy output than stored energy input). In parallel, we are developing the key components required to build affordable fusion systems.

Our plans are ambitious. We have raised over $900M so far from incredible investors, resourcing us to deliver on these plans. We are bringing together the best scientists, engineers, and operators from the fusion community, hard tech industry, and other sectors. We are united by a shared sense of urgency to provide clean power for the world, particularly managing climate change while meeting growing global energy demand. You can read more about us in this letter from our founders.

Why This Role Matters

  • Own software licensing: procurement, allocation, renewals, and cost optimization
  • Administer user access and permissions, including provisioning, deactivation, and periodic access reviews
  • Perform system configuration changes as needed to support business requirements (within defined scope; complex configuration/customization routed to appropriate technical resources)

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with integration stakeholders/teams to define, prioritize, and validate

  • Work with the PLM Administrator to establish and enforce data quality
standards and governance policies for component and BOM data
  • Act as liaison between business stakeholders and the broader Enterprise
    Systems team on cross-system dependencies

Data Quality & Governance

  • Support governance processes ensuring accuracy, consistency, and
completeness of component and BOM data across systems
  • Identify and remediate data quality issues in coordination with the PLM
    Administrator
  • Contribute to defining data standards, naming conventions, and audit processes
    for components/BOMs

Manufacturing Process Ownership

  • Own the design, configuration, and continuous improvement of the
Manufacturing Workflow and its underlying business process
  • Ensure the workflow and process align with manufacturing operations requirements and evolve with business needs
  • Troubleshoot workflow issues and coordinate resolution with technical/vendor support as needed

What You Bring

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Information Systems, Manufacturing
Engineering, or related field; equivalent practical experience will also be
    considered
  • Experience administering enterprise software systems (MES or related
    manufacturing systems preferred)

to collaborate effectively with the PLM Administrator
  • Familiarity with vendor and license management practices
  • Experience with system configuration and user access administration
  • Understanding of BOM/component data structures and data governance
    principles
