Quick facts
From the original posting
"At TRM, we believe the people we hire will determine how far and how fast we can go in our mission to build a safer world for billions of people. That’s why we’re building a Talent team that sees recruiting as a craft and a competitive advantage, people who challenge assumptions, move with urgency, and are energized by building exceptional teams to solve incredibly hard problems. If that sounds like you, we’d love to meet you."
– Alicia Strait, VP of Talent, TRM Labs
Every hire on TRM's recruiting team is a force multiplier for our mission. The faster we scale Marketing and the go-to-market teams it powers, the faster our blockchain intelligence reaches the investigators, compliance teams, and agencies working to stop financial crime. As a Marketing Recruiter (Contract), you'll run full-cycle recruiting across our Marketing organization at one of the most consequential moments in TRM's growth.
You'll partner directly with marketing leaders and hiring managers to translate ambitious growth goals into concrete hiring plans, design candidate experiences that reflect the seriousness of our mission, and build the scalable recruiting practices a globally distributed, async-first company runs on. Your impact will show up not just in who joins TRM, but in how well we compete for world-class marketing talent as our brand and market presence grow.
What you’ll do:
Run full-cycle hiring across Marketing, including Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Brand and Content, Communications, Field and Events, Marketing Operations, and Creative, owning each search from intake to close.
Partner with marketing leaders and hiring managers to define talent needs, set hiring strategy, and deliver against the growth priorities tied to TRM's expansion across public sector, financial institutions, and crypto.
Design candidate experiences that convey why TRM's work matters and reflect our high talent bar at every touchpoint, knowing that marketing candidates will judge us by how well we tell our own story.
Build market maps and creative sourcing strategies to reach high-caliber marketers in competitive markets where the best people are rarely looking.
Build proactive pipelines of Product Marketing and Demand Generation talent so TRM can move quickly as new priorities, segments, or regions emerge.
Help hiring teams evaluate portfolios, work samples, and case exercises fairly and consistently.
Sharpen our recruiting processes, interview practices, and workflows to drive speed, quality, and consistency as we scale.
Use hiring data and market insight to advise teams on compensation, talent availability, and role design, unblock searches, and make sound recruiting decisions.
What we're looking for:
5+ years of full-cycle recruiting, with a strong track record hiring across marketing functions such as Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Brand, Content, and Communications.
Experience recruiting for B2B marketing teams, ideally in SaaS, security, fintech, or other technical and regulated markets.
Proven success recruiting in high-growth, fast-paced environments where priorities shift frequently.
Experience partnering with senior leaders and executives, including CMOs and marketing VPs, as a strategic talent advisor.
A working understanding of how modern marketing teams operate and are measured, so you can tell the difference between a strong pipeline builder, a sharp storyteller, and a great operator.
The ability to ramp quickly on unfamiliar specialties and turn business needs into clear, credible hiring profiles.
Strong sourcing skills and the ability to build pipelines in markets where top talent is passive and in demand.
Comfortable managing a high volume of niche, strategic searches without sacrificing attention to detail or candidate experience.
Excellent communication and a structured, proactive, async-friendly working style.
Sound judgment, high ownership, and the composure to operate with urgency and ambiguity across a globally distributed team.
A candidate-first mindset and commitment to delivering exceptional experiences across roles and levels.
Our talent team is fully remote and async-first. We keep work moving across time zones through Slack, thorough documentation, and proactive updates.
We stay tightly aligned through weekly hiring syncs, team sourcing syncs, and bi-weekly team meetings where we solve challenges together.
We care deeply about our craft: we continuously refine best practices and data quality to deliver an exceptional experience for candidates and internal stakeholders alike, backed by precise, reliable reporting.
We're globally distributed but most of us overlap between 7am–12pm PST for real-time collaboration.
Every team member, wherever they're based, maintains at least a 4-hour overlap with PST business hours.

Within your first 30 days, you’ll be fully onboarded, calibrated, and operating as the DRI for your positions.
Within your first 60 days, you’ll have your first sourced candidates reaching final rounds.
Within your first 90 days, you’ll have made 2–3 hires.
