From the original posting

Backed by leading Silicon Valley investors, Peregrine helps public safety organizations, state and local and governments, federal agencies, and private-sector institutions address society’s challenges with unprecedented speed and accuracy. Our AI-enabled platform turns siloed and disconnected data into operational intelligence — instantly surfacing mission-critical information to empower better, faster decisions that improve outcomes at every touchpoint. Today Peregrine supports hundreds of customers across 30+ states and two countries, serving more than 125 million people — and we’re amplifying our impact as we expand into the enterprise and internationally.

The Role

We're hiring for our Business Operations & Strategy team. In this role, you'll partner with leaders and teams across product, engineering, delivery, and revenue teams to improve operations, launch new initiatives, and help take the company to the next level. Our model is service-oriented: good ideas are often cheap, while execution, trust, and culture are everything. We work on everything from corporate strategy to day-to-day tactics, always in service of Peregrine and its people.

Our goal is to build better leaders and operators, then support them as they pursue their next direction, whether at Peregrine or elsewhere. This is not an up-or-out team; we see experience in Business Operations & Strategy as a foundation for future opportunities.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with leaders and teams across Peregrine, from deployment teams to the leadership team and CEO. You will work on challenges that are important to continued company growth but have not yet become urgent.
  • Work closely with a team or business area, build a deep understanding of it, and deliver early wins. Long-term efforts rarely start with a plan or proposal; they start by building momentum and trust with the people you will partner with.
  • Deliver significant operational change in whatever way the problem requires: build a model, run an operation, perform the job, bring people to agreement, or hire your replacement. Solve the problem, set it up to scale, and work closely with the people involved throughout.
  • Move into other roles when it is right for you. Projects may last a few weeks or a few months; over time, you will work across the business and build conviction about the career path you want to pursue. We celebrate teammates who move into other roles as a sign of success.
  • Learn, grow, and support your teammates. Our number-one rule is that team members take care of one another; we focus on growth and celebrate our teammates' success and self-development.

What We’re Looking For

  • Relevant experience, ideally combining management consulting, investment banking, or private equity with work in high-growth, startup-like environments.
  • Examples of delivering meaningful results. We care more about this than where you have worked: show how you have built expertise in an area of your work, navigated a startup environment, and contributed positively within and outside your team.
  • You communicate complex ideas simply, identify what matters most, and help people align around a shared direction.
  • You use Excel to analyze information and inform decisions. Experience using SQL, Python, and artificial intelligence tools is a plus.
  • You identify opportunities, take responsibility for moving work forward, and follow through on the actions needed to solve problems.
  • You can introspect, consider multiple perspectives, internalize and act on feedback, and take care of the team and others.
  • Located in the San Francisco Bay Area and able to come into the office 4x/week
