The role
The candidate will join Dataiku's brand and creative team as our motion design apprentice, working on animated content that shows up everywhere our brand does: product videos, interviews, demos, social video, digital ads, internal communications, and more.
The candidate will start by supporting our lead motion designer on projects and will help complete them by owning certain pieces end to end.
Responsibilities
- Produce animations, video edits and visual effects for campaigns, events and social channels
- Adapt existing formats across platforms and aspect ratios
- Build storyboards and animatics, then take them through to final render
- Work with brand designers, content, product and field marketers to turn briefs into impactful video assets
- Keep productions consistent with the Dataiku visual identity
Who we're looking for
- A student currently enrolled in a design, motion or audiovisual program, seeking a 1 or 2 year apprenticeship (4 days per week; at least 2-3 days in Paris office each week would be ideal).
- Working knowledge of After Effects and Premiere Pro. Bonus if you’ve worked with Runway or Higgsfield. We don't expect mastery, we expect the candidate to be able to build something and improve it.
- Attention to detail (timing, kerning on titles, export settings).
- Curiosity about graphic design, AI, and art beyond motion specifically.
- Someone who asks questions when a creative brief submitted by a colleague in the business has gaps.
- Working English, written and spoken.
What the apprenticeship offers
- An understanding of how motion design works inside a brand system rather than as one-off pieces
- Production workflow on high-stakes deliverables with real deadlines
- Practice giving and receiving feedback on creative work without it becoming personal
- Direct mentoring from our senior motion designer, plus exposure to the wider brand and marketing team
Nice to have
- Familiar with AI tools such as Midjourney, Runway, etc.
- Sound design or music editing.
- Experience making content for a tech or B2B audience.
- Familiarity with Figma.
Practical
- Apprenticeship contract (alternance), 1 or 2 years, starting October 2026
- Based in Paris, 2-3 days/week on site. Ability to work remotely on other days.
- To apply: send CV and portfolio/showreel/website (schoolwork included)
