From the original posting

At Commure, we're building the AI Operating System for healthcare, the foundation that defines how care is delivered, documented, and financed. Our platform spans the full care journey: Ambient AI and Dictation eliminating documentation burden at the point of care, intelligent Agents automating patient and revenue workflows, and autonomous RCM processing billions in claims, all on a single AI-native platform integrated with 60+ EHRs.

Healthcare carries a $1 trillion administrative burden and we're at the center of transforming it. Today, 500,000+ clinicians across 500+ healthcare organizations nationwide trust Commure to handle $25B+ in annual claims and support over 200 million patient interactions. Our latest $70M raise at a $7B valuation reflects the confidence the market has placed in this mission. We've also been named to the Fortune Future 50 list and the 2026 AI Breakthrough Awards for “Overall NLP Company of the Year.”

Our team works directly alongside clinicians, not through layers of process, which means the gap between what you build and its impact on patient care is immediate. We move fast, deploy daily, and take full ownership from early thinking to production. If you're energized by hard problems, high stakes, and a team that holds itself to a high bar, you'll find your people here.

The future of healthcare is being built right now. Come deliver this transformation.

About the Role

The People Consultant will run the day-to-day HR operations engine for our India teams and ensure consistent, compliant, and employee-friendly execution across core People Ops functions. This role sits at the intersection of People, Finance/Payroll, and business operations. It will be responsible for maintaining strong operational rigour, clean HRMS hygiene, and reliable governance for payroll inputs, attendance/leave, documentation, and employee query resolution.

This is a hands-on role requiring close attention to detail, strong follow-through, and the ability to build scalable processes that reduce manual work and reliance on individuals.

What You’ll Do

People Ops Execution

  • Own end-to-end execution of People Operations for India: employee lifecycle operations, HRMS updates, documentation, and policy adherence.

  • Run the India People Ops “operating rhythm” (weekly checklists, monthly calendars, exception logs) to keep operations predictable and audit-ready.

Payroll & Attendance Governance

  • Coordinate monthly payroll inputs with Finance/Payroll partners: attendance, leave, deductions/additions, exceptions, and validation checks.

  • Own attendance governance and exception handling, ensuring approvals and supporting evidence are documented as per policy.

  • Maintain a clear compliance calendar for payroll-related cutoffs and ensure timely closure with minimal rework.

HRMS, Documentation, and System Hygiene

  • Drive accurate HRMS hygiene: employee master data, reporting lines, shifts/work model, policy acknowledgements, and access controls.

  • Own standard letters and documentation workflows (employment letters, salary letters, confirmations, verifications) with clear SLAs and template discipline.

Employee Queries & Case Management

  • Operate a structured HR helpdesk process: intake, triage, resolution, and escalation with documented turnaround times.

  • Partner with HRBPs/HR leadership on sensitive cases by ensuring documentation quality and a clean case history.

Onboarding / Offboarding & F&F Coordination

  • Manage operational onboarding/offboarding checklists (document collection, HRMS actions, exit workflows) to ensure a consistent employee experience.

  • Coordinate full & final settlement inputs and ensure exits are completed with clean documentation and timely closure.

Process Improvement, SOPs, and Reporting

  • Build and maintain SOPs for recurring People Ops workflows to reduce ambiguity and ensure consistent application across teams/sites.

  • Track key People Ops metrics (case volume, SLA adherence, recurring issues, exception trends) and propose improvements based on data.

What You’ll Bring

  • 4-6+ years of People Operations / HR Ops experience, ideally in a fast-paced, high-volume environment (ops-heavy orgs are a plus).

  • Strong hands-on experience running payroll input governance, attendance/leave workflows, monthly cutoffs, and exception management

  • High comfort with HRMS hygiene, data accuracy, approvals, reporting lines, policies, and access controls.

  • Solid experience managing employee documentation (letters/templates), onboarding/offboarding, and F&F coordination with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to build SOPs, checklists, and trackers that reduce dependency on individuals and make operations scalable.

  • Strong stakeholder management: can work cleanly with Finance/Payroll, IT, and business leaders; knows when to escalate and how to document.

  • Calm, structured, and service-minded — can handle employee queries professionally while maintaining policy consistency.

  • Strong written communication and comfort working with sensitive/confidential employee data.
