PILOT

SpaceX is looking for an in-house pilot for various aircraft. You will have the opportunity to fly both domestically and internationally from local airports.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure aircraft ground servicing items such as fuel, oil, oxygen, etc. are monitored and accomplished according to standard operating procedures
  • Complete flight planning, performance, and weight and balance tasks for each assignment
  • Complete passenger briefings according to company policy and regulation
  • Utilize Threats, Plans, and Considerations briefing methodology for briefings and to mitigate operational risks
  • Maintain a current first class medical certificate

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 3,000+ hours total flight time
  • First class medical certificate

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Boeing 737 type rating
  • G650 type rating
  • 500+ hours time in type

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Within 2-4 hour travel distance to LAX
  • Ability to work on an on-call basis
  • Current passport
  • Ability to pass Air Force background checks for Cape Canaveral and Vandenberg

  • To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
