Through its Copper One platform, Mariana Minerals owns and operates Lisbon Valley Mining Company, a producing open-pit copper mine in southeastern Utah running 24/7.
As a Process Maintenance Technician, you'll maintain and repair everything that's "nailed to the ground": pumps, compressors, boilers, piping, valves, and the buildings that keep the operation running. The ideal candidate is strong in at least one area, such as pumps, welding, or troubleshooting, and is ready to cross-train in the rest.
Diagnose, install, and repair fixed plant equipment, including pumps, compressors, boilers, fans, motors, gearboxes, piping, valves, and automated valves, identifying root causes.
Maintain site buildings and infrastructure, including truck shops, admin buildings, and plumbing systems, along with portable equipment such as mobile air compressors and pumps.
Perform welding and fabrication for pipe, frames, handrails, grating, and structural repairs.
Perform equipment rebuilds, component replacements, lubrication, inspections, oil sampling, and other preventive and condition-based maintenance.
Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repair on motors, starters, and controls, and work alongside electricians to rack out, unwire, install, and troubleshoot process equipment.
Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, boom trucks, and other material-handling equipment.
Document inspections, repairs, and parts in work orders and the CMMS.
Follow MSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, PPE requirements, and company SOPs.
Maintenance experience in fixed plant, mining, industrial, or heavy manufacturing environments.
Strong hands-on skills in at least one area: pumps, welding and fabrication (MIG, stick, cutting), or mechanical troubleshooting.
Working knowledge of pumps, motors, gearboxes, piping systems, and mechanical drive systems.
Basic electrical knowledge, including reading wiring diagrams, using a multimeter, and troubleshooting motors and controls. Industrial electrical experience is a plus.
Ability to read and interpret service manuals, parts manuals, schematics, and technical documentation.
Ability to work safely in an active mine environment and perform physically demanding tasks.
Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with operators, electricians, and support teams.
Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off, 12-hour shifts.
