As a Product Acceleration Specialist, you will play a critical role in driving Okta's success through the deployment and implementation of new products. You will collaborate with various stakeholders throughout Product and Go-To-Market (GTM) teams to support customers' goals and strategies.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-starting professional with a strong hunger to learn and develop expertise in the Okta platform and the broader Identity industry. You will help drive the design, development, and optimization of our products to deliver unparalleled customer experiences. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Customer Success, and GTM, to understand customer business outcomes and craft technical solutions to solve their challenges.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Collaborate with various stakeholders throughout Product and GTM teams, contributing to progressive milestones to grow Okta and support customers' strategies.
- Communicate solutions effectively to customers and other teams, outlining how product capabilities and features drive value and differentiation.
- Understand customer business challenges and craft technical solutions to solve them.
- Strategize with the account team on compelling solution positioning for new Okta Products.
- Effectively collaborate with PM & PMM to provide field and customer input on new product offerings.
- Participate in cross-functional collaboration with internal teams to understand problems and find answers to tactical challenges.
- Conduct hands-on technical implementation, troubleshooting, and testing of products.
- Support a global, distributed team across multiple time zones by providing flexible working arrangements and regular communication.
- Advocate for product adoption and usage through content creation and community engagement.
Qualifications:
Highly motivated and self-driven professional with a background in cyber security and identity and access management, looking for a technical role with a focus on learning and delivering new product innovations to external customers.
Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience with multiple Okta products, with demonstrated proficiency in at least 2 core product areas.
- Background in identity and access management with foundational knowledge of Okta product offerings.
- Familiarity with identity federation and user management protocols such as SAML 2.0, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and SCIM.
- Knowledge of enterprise web technologies and cloud architectures.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts and frameworks (e.g., NIST).
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and orchestration tools.
- Programming or scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell) are a plus.
- Familiarity with common access control models (e.g., RBAC, ABAC).
- Familiarity with governance frameworks such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, or GDPR.
- Experience with Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) or Privileged Access Management (PAM) is a plus.
Communication Skills:
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at various levels, including internal teams and external customers.
- Ability to present technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong active listening skills with the ability to understand customer business goals, objectives, and priorities.

Professional Experience:
- 4+ years of technical experience delivering identity solutions to external customers (e.g., Professional Services/Sales Engineering/Support)
- 2+ years of software Sales or Pre-sales experience: selling identity solutions to large enterprise customers, developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth, building strong relationships with key decision-makers
- A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline is required.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications, such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH, are a plus.
- Background in identity and access management, with expertise in various Okta product offerings

The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between:
$141,000—$193,600 USD
Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, Illinois, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies.
