Our mission is to revolutionize the food industry by creating innovative robotic solutions that enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. We are passionate about pushing the boundaries of technology to deliver cutting-edge products that meet the evolving needs of our clients.

About the role

The Product Certification Specialist owns the full lifecycle of product certification and compliance for Lab37’s robotic food-production systems. This role develops and maintains the company’s compliance strategy across sanitation, electrical safety, and operator safety, translating national standards, local health-code requirements, and business needs into practical product requirements and internal processes. The Product Certification Specialist works closely with Engineering, Product, Manufacturing, Operations, certification bodies, and local regulators to ensure products are designed, documented, tested, manufactured, and deployed in accordance with applicable requirements.

What you’ll do

  • Own product certification: Manage the full certification lifecycle for NSF sanitation, electrical safety, and operator-safety requirements, including certification planning, third-party evaluations, testing, findings resolution, approval, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Develop the compliance strategy: Review and update the company’s compliance approach by combining business and product needs with applicable national standards, certification requirements, customer expectations, and local health codes.
  • Translate requirements into product plans: Convert regulatory and certification requirements into clear engineering requirements, design-review criteria, verification plans, acceptance criteria, and certification evidence.
  • Build lightweight internal compliance systems: Develop practical processes for compliance documentation, material and component records, supplier certifications, change control, testing evidence, and traceability without creating unnecessary administrative burden.
  • Conduct audits and maintain readiness: Develop and perform internal product, documentation, and production audits; identify gaps; manage corrective actions; and maintain readiness for certification-body, customer, production, and regulatory reviews.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, food science, regulatory affairs, quality, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in product certification, regulatory compliance, quality, verification and validation, or product safety for electromechanical equipment.
  • Experience working with NSF, an NRTL, or another third-party certification organization, including managing testing, documentation, findings, and certification activities.
  • Ability to interpret sanitation, electrical, operator-safety, and food-code requirements and translate them into practical product, testing, manufacturing, and documentation requirements.
  • Strong program-management, auditing, documentation, and cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and drive multiple compliance activities to completion.
  • A hands-on, detail-oriented approach and willingness to travel to production and deployment sites and support prototype field evaluations as needed.
