About Abridge

Abridge was founded in 2018 with the mission of powering deeper understanding in healthcare. Our AI-powered platform was purpose-built for medical conversations, improving clinical documentation efficiencies while enabling clinicians to focus on what matters most—their patients.

Our enterprise-grade technology transforms patient-clinician conversations into structured clinical notes in real-time, with deep EMR integrations. Powered by Linked Evidence and our purpose-built, auditable AI, we are the only company that maps AI-generated summaries to ground truth, helping providers quickly trust and verify the output. As pioneers in generative AI for healthcare, we are setting the industry standards for the responsible deployment of AI across health systems.

We are a growing team of practicing MDs, AI scientists, PhDs, creatives, technologists, and engineers working together to empower people and make care make more sense. We have offices located in the Mission District in San Francisco, the SoHo neighborhood of New York, and East Liberty in Pittsburgh.

The Role

Today, Abridge captures the clinical conversation across 300+ health systems and helps clinicians document in real time. Clinical Decision Support (CDS) is the next step: a chat-based assistant clinicians can turn to before, during, and after the visit — to prepare for their day, get evidence-based answers during the visit, and wrap up tasks afterward. It draws on the patient's chart, the medical literature, and the conversation itself, surfacing guidance without interrupting care.

We're hiring a Product Lead to own CDS end to end: strategy, the in-workflow experience, and the content and partnership strategy behind what we surface and when. You'll take CDS from early access to broad adoption across web, mobile, and EHR-embedded surfaces, while driving new capabilities and expansion opportunities. Doing this in a way that earns clinician trust means guidance that's genuinely useful and safe, without adding alert fatigue. You'll work across clinical science, ML, engineering, design, and commercial teams.

What You'll Do

  • Own CDS strategy and roadmap. Define the vision, sequencing, and success metrics for CDS — from answering clinicians' questions on demand to proactively surfacing the right evidence. Decide what we build, license, or partner for.

  • Own the content and evidence strategy. Partner with Clinical Science on evidence quality and clinical validity, and decide what we surface — across guidelines, journals, and reference sources — and what we won't ship until the quality bar is met.

  • Go deep with clinicians. Conduct hands-on user research: shadowing clinicians in exam rooms, observing them interact with our products, understanding the friction they face across specialties and care settings. Turn those insights into product conviction.

  • Ship high-quality in-workflow experiences. Partner with engineering, design, and ML to surface guidance that's timely, trustworthy, and easy to act on. Sweat the details of when and how it appears.

  • Integrate deeply with EHR environments. Work across Epic and other EHR surfaces so CDS fits seamlessly into existing clinical routines, using chart context (labs, meds, prior notes) to make guidance relevant. Understand the constraints and opportunities of embedded vs. standalone experiences.

  • Define metrics and drive outcomes. Establish clear KPIs across adoption, engagement, and clinical quality and safety, and use data to evaluate what's working. Build a culture of measurement and iteration on your team.

  • Navigate ambiguity and move fast. Create structure and clarity in areas where the right answer isn't obvious. Form hypotheses, test them quickly, and update your approach when the data says you're wrong.

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of product management, with significant ownership of complex, high-stakes, or AI products. This is a senior IC role.

  • Track record of shipping 0 to 1 products and taking them to real adoption and revenue.

  • Strong product taste and user empathy. You build for real user workflows — you know the difference between an answer that's technically correct and one a clinician actually trusts and acts on.

  • Comfort working with clinical, scientific, or evidence-based content, and a high bar for accuracy in domains where being wrong has real consequences.

  • Strong technical fluency. You can hold your own with engineering and ML on tradeoffs like quality, latency, reliability, and what's feasible.

  • Ability to make build vs. buy vs. partner decisions and defend them.

  • Clear communication. You explain complex tradeoffs simply and get clinical, engineering, and business partners aligned on a decision.

Bonus Points If…

  • You have clinical, healthcare, or medical informatics experience, or have shipped EHR-integrated clinical workflow products.

  • You've built agentic or assistant-style products — systems that reason, retrieve, and act across tools.

  • You've worked with medical content, knowledge bases, or evidence retrieval and grounding systems (e.g., RAG).

  • You've worked in regulated environments with a high compliance bar.
