Databricks is seeking a Real Estate Strategic Planning Lead to join our Real Estate & Workplace Services (REWS) team. Reporting to Global Real Estate Strategy & Transactions, this highly visible and impactful role will be responsible for portfolio planning, scenario planning, and portfolio optimization across Databricks’ global real estate portfolio. The role will support executive decision-making through strategic analysis, financial modeling, and business case support to inform key real estate decisions.

The impact you will have:

  • Partner with Finance and Real Estate Leadership to maintain REWS long-range portfolio plan
  • Create and maintain flexible portfolio models and manage complex scenario planning initiatives
  • Develop portfolio optimization recommendations aligned with business growth, financial objectives, and employee experience
  • Conduct financial, operational, and portfolio analyses to support strategic real estate decision-making
  • Support development of executive-ready business cases, presentations, and strategic recommendations
  • Translate complex portfolio tradeoffs into clear, data-driven insights and actionable recommendations
  • Develop and maintain recurring portfolio reporting, dashboards, and key performance metrics
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses and decision support for high-priority REWS cross-functional initiatives
  • Partner with Finance, Workplace, People, IT, and Real Estate stakeholders globally to support portfolio planning initiatives
  • Help establish scalable planning frameworks, reporting standards, and governance processes as Databricks continues to grow

What we look for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in a combination of Real Estate, Finance, Strategy, Management Consulting, or related fields with a track record of success
  • Excellent analytical skills, including financial modeling, forecasting, portfolio analysis, and scenario planning
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to structure complex problems and develop solutions
  • Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple high-visibility projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working in a results-driven, solutions-oriented environment with competing priorities
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively across cross-functional stakeholders
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets, Excel, and presentation development
  • Experience with planning and reporting tools such as Anaplan, Tableau, Databricks, or similar platforms preferred

The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents the expected salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks anticipates utilizing the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
