About Polygon Labs

Polygon Labs is a global blockchain payments company building and operating infrastructure to move money instantly, reliably, and at internet scale, with the mission to move all money onchain. It is building the Polygon Open Money Stack, an open and integrated stack of services and technologies to instantly and reliably move money anywhere, and put it to work. Its infrastructure has facilitated trillions of dollars in onchain value transfer and supported millions of transactions daily for some of the globe's largest banks, fintechs, enterprises, and consumer applications.

Your Role

We are building a world-class, best-in-class accounting team and are seeking an exceptional, driven, and hands-on professional with the discipline, ownership mindset, and commitment to deliver results at the highest level.

Reporting to the Controller, you will own core month-end close activities and play a key role in supporting Polygon Labs' global accounting operations in a high-growth, high-impact, rapidly evolving environment. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role where you will own critical areas of the close and reporting process, working with both traditional financial instruments and digital assets. You will be expected to use AI tooling daily to compress reconciliations, accelerate close, and remove manual work that traditionally bottlenecks accounting teams.

Success in this role requires close collaboration with accounting and finance leadership within a lean, flat structure. You will help maintain audit readiness, remediate historical financial data, and embed AI-assisted workflows into daily operations.

Your Responsibilities

  • Execute and support core accounting processes across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, continuous audit readiness, financial integrity, and scalability in a complex global environment.

  • Execute timely and accurate month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepaid schedules, and intercompany reconciliations.

  • Reconcile bank accounts and digital asset wallets with high-volume transaction activity, using AI-assisted tooling to flag anomalies and accelerate review.

  • Perform crypto subledger reconciliations between NetSuite and digital asset systems, including maintaining rollforward schedules.

  • Perform entity-level financial statement flux analysis and prepare detailed variance reports (horizontal and vertical) for subsidiaries.

  • Support preparation of US GAAP financial statements and footnote disclosures across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Maintain audit-ready workpapers to support seamless external audit cycles.

  • Partner with Treasury on daily cash and crypto liquidity monitoring, funding bank accounts and wallets for AP, payroll and operational needs, and executing routine crypto-to-fiat conversions and transfers across banking partners and wallets.

  • Establish strong controls and AI-assisted workflows, treating automation as a core part of how you operate rather than a side project, to build a world-class finance function.

What You'll Need

  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience under US GAAP, including exposure to complex accounting areas

  • Experience with NetSuite and high-volume reconciliations in a production environment

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, particularly Google Sheets

  • Demonstrated daily use of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) in your accounting work, with concrete examples of where AI has compressed close cycles, improved reconciliation accuracy, or replaced manual review steps

  • High learning velocity, you pick up new systems, standards, and tools quickly and rebuild your workflows around them

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting audits

  • Experience with crypto subledger tools and systems

  • Experience building lightweight automations or AI workflows (Python scripts, n8n, prompt chains) to support accounting operations
