Who we are

Atoms is building the machines that power the next era of progress.

Over the last decade, software has transformed the digital world. But the physical world, where food is made, minerals are mined, goods are moved, and industries are run, remains far less intelligent, far less efficient, and far more constrained. We’re changing that.

Atoms builds Physical AI— real-world robots for the industries that move civilization forward, starting with food, mining, and transport. Our systems are designed to understand, predict, and control the real world with precision, turning complex physical operations into something more reliable, more scalable, and more productive.

This work requires more than robotics. It requires deep integration across hardware, software, AI, operations, manufacturing, and real estate. We don’t just build machines in a lab. We deploy them into real environments, operate them, learn from them, and improve them until they work at scale.

We are roboticists, engineers, operators, and builders. We believe the next great technology companies will not only transform information, but the physical systems that shape everyday life.

If you want to work on hard problems with real-world impact, join us.

What you’ll do

  • Own the CAD PDM system: configuration, workflows, data organization, and file lifecycle from WIP through release
  • Define CAD best practices and templates to ensure a shared design language across the team
  • Work with the manufacturing and supply chain teams to define the required CAD metadata
  • Ensure all stakeholders have access to design files with the proper permissions
  • Own BOM structure standards and drive production BOM releases in partnership with NPI and Design Engineering
  • Own drawing standards, title blocks, and revision blocks across the engineering team
  • Collaborate with the New Product Introduction and Manufacturing teams on documentation management and control
  • Plan and manage BOM revision releases in partnership with NPI and Design Engineering
  • Own the data handoff from PDM to ERP/MRP systems

What we’re looking for

  • 3+ years of PLM/PDM engineering experience in a hardware company; robotics, AV, automotive, aerospace, or similarly complex systems preferred.
  • Experience with Solidworks or other 3D CAD software
  • Experience configuring PDM and PLM systems such as Solidworks PDM, Windchill, Arena, 3DX or similar; familiarity with scripting and customization is a plus
  • Strong understanding of BOM structure, engineering vs manufacturing BOMs, and BOM handoff to ERP/MRP systems
  • Experience supporting a product through its full lifecycle from prototype through serial production and field deployment
  • Experience managing design data across both mechanical and electrical domains strongly preferred
  • Experience configuring PDM/PLM workflows to support ECO processes; direct experience running ECOs is a plus
