From the original posting

We’re looking for a technical and strategic Senior Product Manager to lead our Payment Platform team and accelerate how we safely and rapidly evolve monetization at Asana. In this role, you will own the strategy and execution for our core monetization infrastructure, turning complex billing, packaging, and pricing capabilities into a flexible, resilient platform that other engineers can easily build on. You will join a highly collaborative team focused on minimizing time-to-value, eliminating custom one-off solutions, and powering revenue-critical operational workflows across the company.

This role is based in our Vancouver office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, with the option to work from home on Wednesdays and Fridays, depending on your team partnerships.

What you’ll achieve

  • Own the product strategy and long-term roadmap for a meaningful scope within Asana's monetization platform, making explicit prioritization tradeoffs to maximize customer value and business impact.
  • Shift our capabilities from siloed, long-cycle features into reusable, self-service components, patterns, and APIs that enable faster, cheaper internal innovation.
  • Ensure our billing administration, product catalogue, and incentive workflows are highly reliable, scalable, and technically robust to meet evolving business demands.
  • Partner closely with Product Engineering, Infrastructure, Finance, and Data teams to streamline revenue-critical operational workflows and unblock cross-surface complexities.
  • Define durable success metrics and indicators (such as expansion, activation, and billing retention) to validate system performance and business health.

About you

  • 5+ years of product management experience managing complex backend systems, infrastructure, or platform products, ideally with a background in engineering or a technical transition into product management.
  • Deep understanding of global payment systems, billing administration, pricing/packaging configurations, and financial data pipelines.
  • Proven track record operating independently in highly ambiguous problem spaces, balancing deep technical debt/investments against immediate business needs.
  • Exceptional ability to simplify system-level and integration-level complexity into clear, sequenced architectural bets.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication style, with a talent for building shared understanding across deeply technical and operational business teams.
  • Demonstrates curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-making.

What we’ll offer

Our comprehensive compensation package plays a big part in how we recognize you for the impact you have on our path to achieving our mission. We believe that compensation should be reflective of the value you create relative to the market value of your role. To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.

For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $176,000 - $200,000 CAD. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity and benefits. We strive to provide equitable and competitive benefits packages that support our employees worldwide and include:

  • Mental health, wellness & fitness benefits
  • Career coaching & support
  • Inclusive family building benefits
  • Long-term savings or retirement plans
  • In-office culinary options to cater to your dietary preferences
