About Us

About the Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to design, build, and scale internal platforms and software tools that power our infrastructure operations. You will treat operational challenges as software problems, developing clean services and developer platforms that make managing our global infrastructure reliable, fast, and effortless.

Responsibilities

  • Build Infrastructure Software: Architect, write, and maintain scalable services, APIs, and tools that automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and runtime operations.

  • Streamline Developer Workflows: Develop platform software and self-service tools that reduce operational toil, enabling engineering teams to deploy and manage resources safely and efficiently.

  • Drive Engineering Best Practices: Apply standard software engineering practices—including modular design, code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD—to infrastructure codebases and tooling.

  • Ensure System Reliability: Write observability frameworks, automated testing pipelines, and self-healing tools to maintain high availability and proactively catch operational failures.

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner closely with Security, Systems, and Product Engineering teams to integrate infrastructure software seamlessly across the application lifecycle.

Desirable Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Demonstrable experience as a Software Engineer building production software, with an emphasis on backend systems, APIs, or developer platform tools.

  • Strong proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Go, Python, Java, or Rust) with a track record of writing clean, testable, and maintainable code.

  • Solid understanding of software design patterns, API architecture (REST, gRPC), and data structures applied to operational tooling.

  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code frameworks (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and programmatically interacting with infrastructure APIs.

  • Strong analytical, debugging, and system troubleshooting skills to diagnose issues across both application logic and underlying infrastructure.

Bonus Points

  • Experience writing software that interacts with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure) or container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Docker).

  • Familiarity with building robust CI/CD systems, automated integration testing, or continuous deployment tooling.

  • Active contributions to open-source developer tools, CLI applications, or infrastructure platforms.
