Quick facts
From the original posting
Our mission is to automate coding. The first step in our journey is to build the best tool for professional programmers, using a combination of inventive research, design, and engineering. Our organization is very flat, and our team is small and talent dense. We particularly like people who are truth-seeking, passionate, and creative. We enjoy spirited debate, crazy ideas, and shipping code.
We plan on fleshing out the entire Software Development Lifecycle, & that is where code review teams like Origin come into play.
About the Role
Graphite was acquired by Cursor at the end of last year and, since joining, we’ve been working on building our Origin Product to ship to our customers. This will be the Git Forge for the modern AI coding era & are looking for engineers to help scale this product offering!
Initially, the team started Graphite because we loved internal code review tools like Phabricator (at Facebook) and Critique (Google) that help engineers create, approve, and ship small, incremental changes, and long-term we’re passionate about creating products & workflows that help fast-moving eng teams achieve more! Now, we’re taking it a step further by completing the entire software development lifecycle on Cursor’s platform.

You will not own foundation model training or core infrastructure services — but you will be a key consumer and collaborator, driving requirements based on what Origin needs.
Partner with product teams to inform model improvements with real-world review data, scale the system as adoption grows, & partner with adjacent product areas such as Bugbot.
Quality is the product. This is an exciting & ambitious product offering, and has the abilityt o change the way people are building & shipping products moving forward. You'll be obsessive about making Originut a genuinely useful & effective product.
You may be a fit if
You’ve shipped full-stack product features end-to-end and enjoy moving between frontend, backend, and model integration.
You care deeply about developer experience and storage layer products
You’ve launched a product or feature to external users and owned the full loop: onboarding, documentation, feedback, and iteration.
An ability to identify problems, build alignment, and implement solutions autonomously
Working in high scale environments to help support traffic.
