JOB OVERVIEW
Saronic is seeking a University Recruiter to help build the pipeline of interns and new grads who will design, build, and operate the next generation of autonomous maritime vessels. You will partner with our University Recruiting team and hiring managers to find top student talent, run standout campus events, and deliver a great experience for students from the first conversation at a career fair to their first day on the job.
Whether you are early in your recruiting career and love working with students, or a seasoned campus recruiter ready to help shape strategy at one of the fastest-growing companies in defense technology, we want to hear from you.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner with hiring managers across engineering, manufacturing, and operations to understand intern and new grad needs and translate them into campus hiring plans.
Drive full-cycle recruiting for intern and new grad roles: sourcing, phone screens, interview coordination, debriefs, offers, and closing.
Plan and execute campus recruiting events from start to finish: career fairs, info sessions, tech talks, and student org partnerships, including logistics, travel, swag, and booth staffing.
Travel to target universities and maritime academies during fall and spring recruiting seasons to represent Saronic, engage students, and identify top talent on site.
Build and maintain relationships with career centers, faculty, and student organizations such as engineering societies, robotics teams, and ROTC and veteran groups.
Help shape school strategy by identifying which campuses, programs, and events best match the roles we are hiring for.
Manage candidate pipelines in Ashby, keeping data clean and accurate, and track event results and pipeline metrics to guide where we invest.
Support the full intern program lifecycle: offer logistics, pre-boarding, onboarding, summer programming, and intern to full-time conversion.
Recruit and organize Saronic employee volunteers, including alumni ambassadors and engineers, to staff campus events.
Deliver a responsive, student-first candidate experience with timely follow-ups, clear communication, and genuine care.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree.
Experience in university recruiting, campus relations, full-cycle recruiting, recruiting coordination, or career services.
Highly organized, with the ability to juggle many events, candidates, and deadlines at once without dropping details.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable engaging with students, faculty, and senior engineers alike.
Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including some evenings and weekends during peak recruiting season.
Thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and team-oriented environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience recruiting interns and new grads for technical roles in engineering, software, or manufacturing.
Track record of building or scaling a campus program, owning school relationships, or running an intern program end to end.
Experience with an applicant tracking system (Ashby preferred) and campus recruiting platforms such as Handshake or Yello.
Familiarity with the defense, aerospace, or maritime industries, or with maritime academies, ROTC, or service academy programs.
Experience using data to evaluate school and event performance and to influence hiring strategy.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
