About the role

We're looking for a motivated Working Student (Werkstudent) to join our IT team and gain hands-on experience supporting a fast-paced, AI-driven technology company.

This is an excellent opportunity for a university student who wants to develop practical IT skills while continuing their studies. You'll work alongside experienced IT professionals, learning how technology operations support a growing global business.

Based in our office, you'll gain exposure to modern workplace technologies, IT service management, hardware operations, and AI-powered tools that are used every day across DeepL.

 

What you'll do

As part of the IT team, you'll support a variety of day-to-day operational activities, including:

  • Prepare, configure, cleanse, and manage IT hardware for employees.

  • Maintain accurate IT asset records and update internal systems to reflect hardware changes.

  • Learn and follow IT operational processes in a live production environment.

  • Support employees by assisting with IT requests and incidents through Jira Service Management and the Atlassian suite.

  • Gain hands-on experience with corporate technologies including Google Workspace, Zoom, and Claude AI.

  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities, ensuring equipment is prepared and tracked correctly.

  • Provide general administrative and ad hoc support to the IT team as required.

  • Continuously develop your technical knowledge while contributing to the smooth running of our internal IT operations.

     

    What we're looking for

    We're looking for someone who is curious, organised, and excited to learn.

You'll ideally have:

  • Current enrolment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

  • A genuine interest in IT support, workplace technology, or IT operations.

  • Basic technical knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, or troubleshooting.

  • Familiarity with tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, or similar productivity platforms is beneficial.

  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with colleagues across the business.

  • A proactive mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

  • Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and working in an AI-first environment.

  • Good level of English & German written and verbal
