This role will lead in expanding Databrick’s mindshare in the non-technical C-suite and overall share of wallet, leading to owning both the platform conversation and transformation mandate.

Objective of the role:

  • Position Databricks as a strategic AI transformation thought partner to the C-suite, in addition to our established status as a tech partner to their organizations
  • Establish trusted advisor status with LoB/functional leaders (e.g., CFO, CMO, etc.), advising on connecting LoB’s key outcomes and capabilities to specific technical use cases and solutions
  • Operationalize seamless execution of the identified transformation objectives with customer teams, partners, and Databricks
  • Lead the creation and activation of a select group of external AI Transformation leaders to serve as an Expert Advisory Council / C-suite user group

Responsibilities:

  • For a limited group of the highest priority customers:
    • Develop deep C-suite/SVP+ relationships at the customer & their main SIs and other strategic partners, execute on co-sell
    • Co-create the AI Transformation Roadmap
    • Ensure the successful translation of the roadmap from concept to deployment, and value realization by partnering with the FDE team and SIs
  • For the broader customer set:
    • Develop the engagement model with C-suite leaders, including programs/materials based on the above customer successes for wider enablement and repeatable execution
    • Develop co-sell motions with strategic SIs and MBB/B4 consulting partners
    • Develop scaled operating models with the FDE team and SIs to execute on transformations
    • Cultivate broad Databricks and personal credibility within the target industry segment or LoB function in Databrick’s status as a trusted thought partner in AI transformation / scaled adoption and develop Databrick’s C-suite transformation narrative
    • Develop and lead C-suite workshops to engage customer leadership on their AI transformations
  • For Databricks:
    • Identify, recruit, and engage recognized external C-suite leaders and visionaries in AI Transformation to form an Expert Advisory Council
    • Lead the activities of the Council to provide strategic guidance and operational insights into leading-edge AI Transformation capabilities

Experience:

  • At least 15 years of experience in digital/AI transformation in enterprises, either as an operator or consultant, with demonstrated successes in creating, architecting, leading, and scaling large-scale transformation mandates
  • At least 5 years experience in working directly with enterprise C-suite to lead and execute against such transformations; built trusted relationships with these senior stakeholders
  • Deep, practical experience in the opportunities, challenges, and solutions for AI transformations in at least one of the following industries: Healthcare/Life Sciences, Financial Institutions, Public Sector, Manufacturing, Retail, Consumer Goods, Technology, Media, Telecom
  • Experience in developing and implementing operating models to support the transformations
  • Worked extensively with partners (e.g. SIs) to implement the transformations
  • Sufficient technical expertise to reliably and realistically inform the transformation objectives and timelines, and to establish credibility with technical leaders and teams
