What You'll Do

Design, build, and maintain scalable distributed backend systems capable of handling high-volume traffic from hundreds of thousands of devices deployed globally.
Develop and optimize backend services, APIs, data models, and infrastructure components to support reliable product functionality across Verkada’s platform.
Design scalable control planes and data primitives for Verkada products, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and maintainability.
Build and deploy new backend services within a microservices architecture, including service design, implementation, testing, monitoring, and production support.
Collaborate with product, infrastructure, firmware, and frontend engineering teams to define technical requirements and deliver backend systems that support customer-facing product features.
Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and engineering best practices to ensure high-quality, maintainable software development.

What You Bring

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
Must be willing and able to work onsite five days per week
