Joblaze insights
Quick facts
From the original posting
Agent Product Management is the fastest growing team at Assort. Agent Product Managers (APMs) design, launch, and tune our AI agents inside real customer practices, and Agent Strategy Managers (ASMs) own strategic, long-term customer relationships. Together they sit between product, implementation, and the customer.
As Director, you will own Assort's largest multi-site and multi-product customers outside of health systems, such as large specialty groups and multi-practice platforms. A single rollout can span many locations and several use cases, including inbound scheduling, outreach, referrals, intake, and payments. These are long-term relationships, so you are accountable for both getting them live and growing them.
Lead and scale the APM and ASM teams serving Enterprise and Strategic accounts, and own the hiring bar, team structure, and career development as the function grows.
Serve as the executive owner for your largest accounts, working directly with customer VP and C-suite stakeholders and leading the hard conversations yourself.
Own the rollout plan for each account: sequencing, capacity, dependencies, and the tradeoffs when a customer wants more than the team can deliver.
Own portfolio performance, including time-to-launch, agent performance, abandonment, hold time, conversion, and staffing capacity, and catch systemic risk before it becomes an escalation.
Step into the most complex deployments and escalations yourself and lead from the front.
Partner with Sales and Customer Success on handoffs, expansion, and renewal risk, and push back when commitments outrun what the team can deliver.
Build the Enterprise playbook: scoping, account planning, executive reporting, and how we expand a customer from one use case to many.
Bring field insight to Product and Engineering, including what strategic customers need that the roadmap doesn't yet cover.
8 to 10 years across consulting, investment banking, or tech (ideally MBB, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley, Google, Amazon, or Meta), plus experience at a fast-growing tech company or startup.
Operator experience, such as founding a company, running operations, or holding GM or P&L responsibility. We weigh this heavily because the role is closer to running a business than managing a product.
Experience leading complex, multi-workstream enterprise rollouts and digital or AI transformations, including change management.
Executive presence with senior customer and cross-functional stakeholders. You can brief a frustrated executive clearly and lead with the headline.
Proven people leadership. You have hired, developed, and managed teams, and you can describe how you know each week whether your team is on track.
Systems thinking and capacity modeling. You can turn lessons from one account into a reusable playbook and plan team capacity across a portfolio.
Willingness to push back on customers, Sales, and leadership when a commitment isn't realistic, while keeping the relationship strong.
Experience building or implementing AI solutions, or using AI to build agents and systems.
Comfort with ambiguity. The pace is high and escalations are part of the job, and so is the chance to build a function while it scales.
STEM degree or advanced degree
Healthcare experience, ideally in patient access, scheduling, contact center, or digital front door
Experience implementing software inside Epic or other EHRs
Familiarity with contact center and VOIP platforms (Genesys, NICE, Five9, Cisco, RingCentral, Twilio)
Experience with AI governance, clinical safety, and responsible-AI review
💸 Competitive Compensation – Including salary and employee stock options so you share in our success.
