About Us

Legora is redefining how legal work gets done. Not built for lawyers, built with them. We work alongside the world’s best legal teams, who expect excellence, precision, and speed, and we hold ourselves to the same bar.

Our AI-native workspace lets legal professionals move faster, think more clearly, and operate with sharper precision. By analysing thousands of documents in minutes and powering end-to-end workflows, we cut through complexity, teams can focus on what matters: judgment, strategy, and outcomes.

1,000+ customers across 50+ countries trust us, including Cleary Gottlieb, Goodwin, Linklaters, White & Case, Dentons, and Barclays. We’ve scaled to $100M+ in ARR, with teams across Europe, North America and APAC, and continue to expand through acquisitions including Qura, Walter AI and Graceview.

We partner with world-class performers: including Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees, Ludvig Åberg (and his caddie), and campaigns featuring Jude Law.

Joining Legora means three things.

  • We lean in: ownership over titles, outcomes over intentions.

  • We fight for excellence: high standards, direct, ego-free feedback.

  • We grow together: as a team and with our customers.

Mission before ego. Everyone contributes. No one coasts.

If you’re driven by impact, pace, and raising the bar. This is the place.

The Role

As Director, Private Markets, you will lead, coach, and scale a high-performing team of Account Executives dedicated to Legora's Private Markets vertical — one of our most strategic growth areas. Sitting within Strategic Sales, you'll combine hands-on commercial leadership with deep domain ownership of the Private Markets ecosystem, helping the world's leading investment firms transform how they work with AI.

You aren't just a manager who sits behind a dashboard; you are a hands on revenue leader. You actively jump into strategic deal cycles, build trusted relationships with senior investment professionals and general counsel, architect winning go-to-market strategy for the sector, and mentor your AEs to consistently hit and exceed quota.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, recruit, and retain a high-performing team of Account Executives focused on Private Markets, and own the team's pipeline and revenue targets across a portfolio of leading investment firms.

  • Coach on deal strategy from discovery through multi-stakeholder negotiation and close — grounded in real understanding of investment workflows.

  • Act as executive sponsor on high-value deals, building relationships with senior PE and investment stakeholders

  • Connect Legora's capabilities to high-impact workflows like due diligence, IC prep, and portfolio value creation

  • Develop and execute account strategy, identifying new opportunities while growing long-term strategic relationships alongside your team.

  • Represent the voice of the Private Markets sector internally, helping shape how Legora positions itself, expands, and prioritizes within this strategically important market.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Customer Success and Executive Leadership to align GTM strategy with client needs, bring customer insight into the product roadmap, and clear deal roadblocks.

  • Own forecasting accuracy and pipeline health for the team

  • Build repeatable playbooks and qualification frameworks tailored to Private Markets

  • Develop and refine repeatable sales playbooks, qualification frameworks and prospecting tactics

What You Bring

  • 8+ years experience

  • Private Markets Domain Expertise (6+ years): Deep, credible experience within Private Equity, Investment Banking, Transaction Services, or Management Consulting. Exposure to financial sponsors or transactions – you understand how investment decisions actually get made.

  • People Leadership: Experience leading, mentoring, or developing team members

  • Commercial/Client-Facing Transition: Demonstrated success in a client-facing, revenue-generating, or business-development capacity

  • Deal & Process Fluency: Comfort managing complex, multi-stakeholder processes end-to-end – Familiarity with deal qualification, stakeholder mapping, discovery frameworks etc.

  • Executive Presence: Credibility to engage MDs, Partners, and GC-level buyers as a peer.

  • Commercial & Analytical Toolkit: Comfort with CRM tools (Salesforce or similar), and the ability to build and present a business case or account plan to senior audiences.

  • Builder Mindset: High ownership and urgency — energized by building the playbook, not inheriting one

  • Curiosity & Growth Mindset: Excited to help build a category-defining AI company, translate deep sector expertise into a repeatable commercial motion, and shape how Legora wins in the Private Markets sector.

What’s In It For You

  • Global collaboration: Partner with teams and clients across Europe, APAC, and North America.

  • Competitive package: Comprehensive salary, benefits, and tools for success.

  • Meaningful work: Your efforts shape how thousands of lawyers use AI daily.

  • In-person environment: Union Square office designed for ambitious builders and company provided lunch daily.
