The Finance & Strategy team is an integral thought partner to Abridge’s cross-functional leadership. As a Finance & Strategy Lead, you’ll have a unique opportunity to play a pivotal part in our financial management and strategic planning process. The role will be integral in driving our company's financial health and visibility, and offers a chance to work at the cutting edge of AI technology and healthcare. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about their work, eager to engage in dynamic financial planning, and ready to contribute significantly to our company's success.
You’ll join a growing Finance & Strategy team, acting as a crucial link between Finance leaders and partners across the entire organization. You will principally be responsible for driving our financial planning process, inclusive of: budgeting, scaling processes & tooling, and cross functional communication / thought partnership. Specific responsibilities will include:
Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop comprehensive financial plans and forecasts aligned with our strategic objectives, and manage financial planning cadence & processes, including budgeting and variance analyses.
Financial Close Coordination: Implement scalable practices in financial close and accounting processes, partnering with our Financial Operations team to install and document accounting workflows / best practices.
Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with various departments to distill complex financial data into real-time insights that drive decision making.
Automation Through AI: Lead end-to-end efforts to enhance and automate financial processes and systems with AI tooling, from reporting to insight generation to cross-functional partnership.
Strategic Partnership with Finance Leadership: Work on a number of strategic areas alongside the Finance Leaders, including board & investor presentations and executive reporting.
3-5 years of experience in Big 4 Audit, Transaction Services, Investing, Management Consulting or a closely related field with experience in technical accounting, financial modeling, valuation, and/or deal diligence.
Additional cross-functional FP&A operating experience in a fast-paced technology and/or healthcare environment is a significant plus, but not a requirement.
Proficient in financial analysis and Microsoft Excel, with strong analytical skills and data interpretation abilities.
Systems architect mindset, focus on building / simplifying products and processes, willingness to engage in new systems and tools (e.g. AI enablement).
Experience researching, summarizing, and presenting complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field.
