How you can help make a better world of work

As the Financial Accountant covering a 12-month maternity leave, you will be a key contributor to the month-end close process, financial reporting, and balance sheet integrity for Culture Amp's global entities. You'll also lead treasury operations and champion AI-driven automation across the finance function — partnering closely with the Finance Manager and Director of Financial Reporting to ensure our financial records are accurate, compliant, and audit-ready, while helping build the agents and workflows that make our reporting processes faster and smarter.

As part of this team of amazing humans,

You will

  • Drive and own majority of the month-end close process for global entities, in compliance with relevant local standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform detailed reconciliations and supporting schedules for complex balance sheet accounts.
  • Complete weekly and monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring balances agree to bank statements.
  • Drive month end cash flow reporting, conducting variance analysis with insightful commentaries.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register and prepare supporting schedules for quarterly investor and bank reporting.
  • Lead treasury management — daily bank account monitoring, processing transfers/payments, and managing corporate credit cards in Expensify.
  • Be a champion for AI adoption within the finance function, designing and building AI agents/workflows (using tools such as Claude) that automate recurring financial reporting, reconciliation, and compliance tasks — a key, measurable deliverable for this role.
  • Oversee the preparation and lodgement of statutory/compliance reporting, including ABS surveys, US Census Bureau surveys, and other ad-hoc compliance reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and become a power user of NetSuite, recommending and implementing process improvements.
  • Be a key collaborator for external audits, ensuring timely resolution of audit queries.

You have

  • CA/CPA qualification (or in the final stages), with several years' financial accounting experience in a global/multi-entity organisation.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS/AASB) with hands-on month-end close, reconciliation, and statutory reporting experience.
  • Experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP system.
  • Demonstrated experience, or strong genuine interest, in using AI tools such as Claude to build agents/automations that streamline finance processes.
  • Exposure to treasury operations — bank administration, payments, and corporate card platforms such as Expensify.
  • Strong attention to detail, an ownership mindset, and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, global finance team.
