What You'll Do
Doppel's Forward Deployed Engineering team plays a critical role in bringing our largest, multimillion-dollar enterprise customers into production. You'll tackle some of the hardest technical challenges behind these deals, integrating Doppel into complex security environments and making our products critical to customer operations.
As FDE Lead, you'll work directly with customers, GTM, Product, and Engineering to turn ambiguous problems into production-ready solutions. You'll own technical direction, scope solutions, make architecture decisions, and bring the right people together to execute.
This is a high-ownership role combining the pace and autonomy of a startup with the complexity of Fortune 500 customers. You'll solve real customer problems end-to-end, shape how Doppel delivers enterprise solutions, and turn what you learn in the field into scalable product capabilities.
Own enterprise delivery end-to-end. Embed with strategic customers to map workflows, define technical requirements and success criteria, and drive deployments from discovery through production and adoption.
Lead technical execution. Set engineering direction for the FDE team, make architecture and prioritization decisions, manage dependencies, and unblock engineers to deliver against customer goals.
Build solutions that work in production. Stay hands-on architecting and shipping integrations across APIs, SIEM/SOAR platforms, identity systems, email infrastructure, and enterprise security workflows.
Drive measurable customer outcomes. Partner with GTM and customer teams to remove onboarding friction, accelerate time-to-value, and ensure deployments deliver lasting value.
Turn customer challenges into scalable product. Drive 0→1 solutions through production, identify recurring patterns, and translate field insights into reusable platform capabilities and product priorities.
Define how FDE scales. Establish the technical standards, automation, and operating practices that enable the team to support increasingly complex customers without increasing deployment effort proportionally.
What We're Looking For
Strong software engineering foundation. 6+ years building production software, with the technical depth to architect systems, evaluate tradeoffs, and contribute directly to code.
Technical leadership and execution. Experience leading engineers and owning complex technical initiatives, from setting direction and sequencing work to managing dependencies and driving delivery.
End-to-end customer ownership. You've worked directly with enterprise customers to understand their workflows, translate business needs into technical plans, and deliver solutions that achieve measurable outcomes.
Enterprise integration experience. Experience building across APIs, webhooks, identity and authentication (OAuth, SAML, SCIM), and enterprise infrastructure. Familiarity with SIEM/SOAR platforms or security ecosystems is a plus.
Exceptional ownership and judgment. You navigate ambiguity, anticipate blockers, make difficult prioritization decisions, and bring the right teams together to move complex problems forward.
Product and systems thinking. You balance immediate customer needs with long-term scalability, recognizing when custom solutions should become reusable product capabilities.
Strong cross-functional communication. You can lead technical conversations with customers, align stakeholders on tradeoffs, and coordinate execution across Engineering, Product, and GTM.
AI-native mindset. Experience with LLMs, agents, or AI-powered workflows is a plus, along with an interest in applying AI to improve enterprise deployments and technical workflows.
