Joblaze insights
Quick facts
From the original posting
We are looking for a Lead Product Engineer for Engagement: someone who has shipped consumer apps people love and wants to build the app that follows a member home from their scan. You join a pod of four to six engineers and an Engineering Pod Lead, and you take member problems from idea to production.
Engagement owns the Neko app on iOS, Android and web, and everything around it: wearables, notifications, and the screens members meet during the scan and the debrief with their doctor. Members trust us with their health, and every interaction either deepens that trust or loses it. You care about the details that make an app feel great: performance, gestures, transitions.
Ship to production in your first week and own a meaningful part of the app within your first month: native platform, health data, notifications or clinic screens.
Ship member-facing features end to end in React Native, with Swift or Kotlin where needed, on both platforms and web.
Build the native platform layer: HealthKit and Health Connect, wearables, push and background work, deep links, biometrics, and the release train from build to staged rollout.
Build the clinic screens: the scan and debrief experiences.
Hold the quality bar with AI tools in your daily loop: crash-free rate, performance, and the details members feel on every screen.
Experience building mobile apps with real customer usage: deep React Native, with real Swift or Kotlin.
You have shipped consumer features end to end, and you solve the problem regardless of the tool.
Experience with an app store release process and what it takes to keep an app crash-free.
Daily use of AI coding tools, and you can show what you have shipped with them.
You work well with product, design, and other teams, and translate technical decisions into what they mean for members.
On-device health data (HealthKit, Health Connect), wearables or notifications at scale.
Health, fitness, or behavioral products where engagement made a real difference to people's lives.
A strong eye for motion and animation on mobile.
Frontend: React, React Native, TypeScript, Swift and Kotlin where needed, Next.js, Sanity, Vercel
Backend: C#, Node, Cosmos DB
Design: Figma
Tooling: Azure DevOps, Claude Code
