Cloudflare’s Infrastructure Operations team builds, expands, and maintains the global network that powers millions of web properties. Hardware Integration Operations sits at the heart of this engine, bridging the gap between hardware engineering design, global supply chains, and data center deployment. Our mission is to ensure our global infrastructure scales seamlessly, reliably, and efficiently by optimizing rack integration, supplier ecosystems, and lifecycle operations.

About the Role

As Manager of Hardware Integration Operations, you will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for supply coordination, rack engineering readiness, third-party integration, and deployment coordination. You will manage employees across supply-chain operations, rack integration engineering, and technical program management while scaling the team’s capabilities.

You will own the team’s day-to-day execution and operating model, ensuring L11 rack builds have the materials, technical requirements, supplier capacity, and deployment readiness needed to support Cloudflare’s infrastructure plans. You will also develop long-term strategy, including scaling global integration capacity, improving rack lifecycle operations, expanding integration capabilities, and influencing data center standards that enable greater use of rack integration.

This role requires a blend of strategic leadership and hands-on operational engagement. As the team grows, you will establish systems, accountability, and leadership capacity that allow execution to scale through your team.

What You’ll Do

Lead and Develop the Team

• Coach, develop, and hold accountable a multidisciplinary team spanning supply-chain operations, rack integration engineering, and technical program management.

• Set priorities, clarify ownership, and develop and execute a workforce plan that expands the team’s capabilities and capacity.

Own Rack Integration Operations

• Oversee the operating model connecting capacity demand, L10 hardware supply, L11 rack production, and deployment readiness.

• Establish operating reviews, escalation mechanisms, and metrics covering schedule adherence, material readiness, supplier capacity, and ERP data accuracy.

Guide Technical Readiness and Standards

• Lead the team’s contribution to new rack architectures and L11 new product introductions in partnership with Hardware Engineering and Infrastructure Operations.

• Govern BOM consistency and integration test requirements while influencing structured cabling and data center standards that enable deployment-ready racks.

Lead Suppliers and Commercial Operations

• Drive relationships with global L11 integration suppliers, including performance reviews, capacity commitments, and escalations.

• Partner with Hardware Sourcing on regional expansion, commercial negotiations, and L11 operating-budget governance.

Expand Rack Integration Capabilities

• Develop and scale programs that increase the range of work completed through rack integration, improve lifecycle execution, and reduce deployment complexity.

• Partner across Engineering, Infrastructure Operations, Security, Logistics, and Hardware Sourcing to evaluate new capabilities, establish appropriate controls, and turn successful pilots into repeatable global operations.

Transform Processes and Tooling

• Optimize enterprise workflows, including Oracle ERP, to create documented, repeatable, and data-driven operations.

• Promote responsible AI-assisted analysis and automation to improve operational efficiency, decision quality, and executive reporting.

What You Bring (Required Qualifications)

• People Leadership: Proven track record in people management, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and scaling multidisciplinary operational or technical teams.

• Hardware & Integration Operations: Broad experience leading hardware manufacturing, supply-chain operations, systems integration, or hyperscale infrastructure programs across external contract manufacturers (CMs), ODMs, or global suppliers.

• Domain Technical Depth: Operational knowledge of rack-level server, network, power, cabling, and manufacturing considerations sufficient to guide technical specialists, challenge assumptions, and make informed operational decisions.

• Supplier & Program Governance: Demonstrated success managing supplier performance, capacity escalations, commercial reviews, and complex cross-functional programs spanning engineering, procurement, and logistics.

• Process & Financial Acumen: Strong judgment in managing operational budgets, demand forecasts, production metrics, and cross-functional process development.

• Global Collaboration & Travel: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders across global time zones and travel periodically for supplier reviews.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with hyperscale data center deployment readiness, colocation environments, or rack lifecycle and decommissioning programs.

• Direct experience introducing new hardware products into contract manufacturing environments.

• Experience expanding hardware manufacturing or integration capabilities through controlled pilots, cross-functional readiness reviews, and operational standards.

• Experience optimizing data-driven operations through enterprise platforms such as Oracle ERP or through AI-assisted automation tooling.

• Track record of expanding global supplier capacity through RFPs, facility assessments, and commercial negotiations.
