From the original posting

We're looking for a talented and passionate Procurement Manager to lead Wildlife's Procurement function in São Paulo.

Over the last three years, Procurement has evolved from a transactional, invoice-receiving operation into a strategic business partner focused on cost and vendor management, sustaining strong sourcing results while raising the bar on operational discipline. Your mission is to build on that foundation and scale an intelligent, well-governed Procurement function that consistently creates measurable value for the company.

The work this team does shapes both our results and our culture. The right person for this position is curious by nature, comfortable in a "take the initiative" environment, energized by solving problems, and able to thrive in a fast-growing business.

What you'll do

  • Function leadership & strategy. Set direction, priorities and governance standards for Procurement, and define category strategies aligned with business objectives and long-term value creation.
  • High-value negotiation & contracting. Lead complex, high-value, business-critical negotiations. Secure favorable pricing, terms and conditions, stronger contractual protections and better risk allocation.
  • Cost management. Influence business teams and budgets with savings opportunities grounded in spend analyses and business insight; challenge requirements and optimize total cost of ownership (TCO).
  • Supplier & risk management. Own executive-level supplier relationships — performance, risk, concentration and innovation. Vet suppliers properly and keep contracts aligned to the company's risk appetite.
  • Strategic sourcing. Research, identify and onboard high-quality vendors according to market best practices; run comprehensive RFPs for strategic categories.
  • Procure-to-Pay (P2P) efficiency & governance. Streamline intake-to-PO and intake-to-RFP workflows and apply automation and AI across the chain to reduce transaction costs while keeping high process adoption and clean audit trails.
  • Cross-functional partnership. Partner with FP&A and business stakeholders to anchor strategic budgets in technical baselines, improve savings reporting, and strengthen cost and CAPEX governance.
  • People leadership. Lead and develop a small, high-performing team; recruit, coach and retain talent, and step in hands-on when the work requires it.

What you'll need

  • Proven experience leading Procurement or Strategic Sourcing, including ownership of complex, high-value negotiations and end-to-end RFPs across multiple vendors.
  • Strong command of contracting, commercial and risk terms, supplier management, and P2P processes and controls.
  • Comfortable with spend and data analysis to identify savings opportunities and build credible, technically anchored budget baselines.
  • Familiarity with modern Procurement or ERP tooling (SAP S/4HANA is a plus) and a genuine interest in applying automation and AI to procurement workflows.
  • Fluent English and Portuguese; based in or able to work from São Paulo (hybrid).

More about you

  • Effective & Transparent Communication: Explains why strategic decisions were made. Avoids jargon and highlights risks and next steps. Communicates shifts in scope before others ask.
  • Conflict Resolution: Mediates cross-team disagreements (e.g., resourcing or roadmap conflicts) and gets alignment fast. Clarifies misunderstandings in tasks or timing directly.
  • Emotional Intelligence & Adaptability: Proactively helps replan projects when plans shift. Coaches peers through uncertainty. Reframes frustration as part of the process, not failure. De-escalates tense situations.
  • Achievement Orientation & Execution: Owns project deadlines. Ensures high quality in projects and delivers against established goals. Follows up on blockers and ensures outcomes meet scope, quality, and deadlines. Balances competing timelines and shifting inputs. Makes resourcing trade-offs and flags risks early.
  • Time Management & Prioritization: Coordinates across teams to resolve timeline problems. Flags delivery risks early. Says no to unnecessary meetings or misaligned work.
  • Analytical Reasoning: Is fluent in key metrics and uses data to make decisions. Shares clear data stories with the team. Makes choices based on trends and trade-offs. Can connect data to business impact.
  • Structured Problem-Solving: Solves ambiguous team-level issues. Aligns team on problem definition before diving into fixes. Leads retros or postmortems to find root causes and process improvements.
  • Innovation: Deeply understands the market and builds upon best practices. Shares new tools with practical applications with the teams. Proposes new experiments to speed up workflows. Builds standards around and role-models new innovation tools.
