The Procurement Manager owns procurement on Volta's Nordics project – most critically the long-lead equipment the schedule depends on. Embedded in the project team, you will buy, expedite and deliver everything the project needs, on terms that protect it.
You will carry a functional line to Volta's procurement leadership, working within fleet category strategies while owning project execution end to end.
Own project procurement from strategy through purchase to site delivery
Manage long-lead equipment packages such as generators, switchgear and cooling plant
Run tenders and negotiations with the contracts lead for project packages
Expedite manufacturing and logistics against the project schedule
Manage supplier performance, inspections and factory acceptance with the quality lead
Track procurement status transparently against the baseline
Coordinate customs, shipping and site logistics into the Nordics
Apply fleet category strategies and feed market intelligence back to the function
Procurement experience on data center or major capital projects is essential
A record buying long-lead electrical and mechanical equipment
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
Experience expediting critical packages against fixed dates
Working knowledge of logistics into the Nordics
Willingness to be based in the Nordics through delivery
