The Safety Manager owns safety on the ground at Volta's Nordics project. Embedded in the project team, you will set the site's safety culture with the Project Delivery Manager and make sure everyone building it goes home well, every day.
You will carry a functional line to Volta's Safety Function Manager, applying fleet standards on site and reporting with total transparency.
Own day-to-day site safety across all contractors and activities
Implement Volta's safety standards and management system on site
Run inductions, inspections and audits to a disciplined rhythm
Manage contractor safety performance and hold the standard visibly
Lead incident response, investigation and corrective action
Report leading and lagging indicators honestly and on time
Ensure compliance with Nordic safety regulation
Coach site teams and build genuine safety ownership
Construction safety experience on data center or major projects is essential
A recognized safety qualification such as NEBOSH or an equivalent
A record managing contractor safety on live sites
Calm, credible incident management
The presence to influence behavior on site daily
Willingness to be based in the Nordics through delivery
