About the Role
Ethos is seeking a Product Analyst who is investigative in nature, highly analytical, and passionate about process integrity and product quality. You’ll work cross-functionally to uncover root causes, design remediations, and support initiatives to improve and future-proof our systems. In this position you will support product and engineering teams along with compliance, helping to ensure Ethos maintains a high bar for customer experience, operational accuracy, and compliance by digging into data to answer the "why" behind the numbers.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor key data and processes to proactively identify, track, and report issues, anomalies, or areas of risk
- Partner with business areas to surface and prioritize concerns, and translate them into clear, actionable findings
- Investigate complex issues independently, digging into large datasets to identify root causes
- Work closely with engineering and product teams to scope, resolve, and validate fixes for identified issues
- Proactively generate exploratory analyses and in-depth research on large data sets to help product teams uncover high-impact opportunities in the areas of risk
- Present findings and recommendations to product managers and stakeholders in a way that drives action
- Work cross-functionally to scale insights through improved monitoring and automation
- Help build a data-informed culture by making insights easy to find, understand, and act on
- Analyze results and help translate them into clear takeaways for the team
Qualifications & Skills
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis, data science, or data-driven product management
- Strong skills and comfort working with large datasets
- Experience with a data visualization tool (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Mode)
- Working knowledge of basic statistical concepts (e.g., regression, confidence intervals)
- 1+ years of experience with SQL preferred
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to intuitively connect data points
- Skilled in leveraging data and analytical tools to support decisions and provide actionable insights
- Demonstrated ability to investigate complex issues independently, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, able to explain data findings to a non-technical audience
