About Cartesia

Our mission is to architect AI that learns from and interacts with the world like humans do.

We're pioneering the model architectures that will make this possible. Our founding team met as PhDs at the Stanford AI Lab, where we invented State Space Models or SSMs, a new primitive for training efficient, large-scale foundation models. Our team combines deep expertise in model innovation and systems engineering paired with a design-minded product engineering team to build and ship cutting edge models and experiences.

We're funded by leading investors at Index Ventures and Lightspeed Venture Partners, along with Factory, Conviction, A Star, General Catalyst, SV Angel, Databricks and others. We're fortunate to have the support of many amazing advisors, and 90+ angels across many industries, including the world's foremost experts in AI.

The Role

We're looking for a Product and Research Operations Manager to run the operational backbone of Cartesia's Voice function - supporting voice production for customers, talent sourcing and logistics, and voice delivery for Go-To-Market and Customer Success. You'll work directly alongside our Voice Production Lead and Voice Library Lead, and provide hands-on support across their respective work-streams.

Part of your time will go toward cross-functional ad-hoc operations, including supporting growth initiatives.

Your Impact

  • Voice Production & Library - Support execution of voice production runs alongside the Voice Production Lead. Over time, you'll own day-to-day production and library health reporting, take on more locales and volume, and build automations to streamline the process.

  • Sourcing & Talent logistics - Support voice sourcing alongside the Voice Library Lead. Build the systems to source, vet, and create voices for the voice library with voice acting talent as well as vendors.

  • Customer Voice Delivery & Enablement - Own customer-facing voice engagements end to end, driving customers to be successful with our models. Drive voice-related GTM enablement.

  • Ad-hoc Strategy and Growth Projects - Support ad-hoc strategy & operations work, including helping run events and marketing initiatives for Cartesia in London. Support Cartesia’s growth in international markets on a project by project basis.

What We're Looking For

  • 3 - 6 years as an operator at a high-growth tech startup or in strategy consulting (MBB or similar)

  • High agency - a proactive self-starter who can operate autonomously to get things done in ambiguous environments

  • Customer-facing chops, with the ability to drive conversations with executives

  • Semi-technical - comfortable using tools like Cursor, Claude Code, etc to build lightweight systems, and understands core concepts of system design

  • Genuine interest in operating with founder-level hunger, and real enthusiasm for voice and audio technology - you have opinions on it, not just interest

What makes a strong candidate:

  • Experience in the AI industry, especially in AI Strategy and Operations or Product Operations roles

  • A track record of going out of your way to get things done proactively

  • Builds lightweight systems autonomously

  • Detail-oriented under volume; maintains attention to detail even with large volume of tasks

  • Credible in front of GTM teams and customers without needing a lead in the room
