About the team

The EMEA SMB team is a highly consultative sales team that is responsible for the growth and retention of Stripe’s largest and fastest growing SMB customers.

What you’ll do

As a Sales Manager at Stripe, you’ll play an instrumental role in fueling Stripe’s growth in Southern Europe through new customer acquisition. You'll lead and coach high-performing account executives, helping them deliver on ambitious targets, as well as roll up your sleeves to work directly with users and prospects. We are looking for an individual who is keen to work alongside a high-performing team of individuals to navigate complex organizations and find new opportunities to make payments a competitive advantage for their businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, develop and lead a team of sales professionals, with a particular focus on the SMB segment in Southern Europe
  • Develop the long-term vision and strategy for the team and manage day-to-day operations, with a focus on performance against key sales metrics
  • Be accountable for new client acquisition
  • Driving deal strategy and execution including strong pipeline development, opportunity management, and forecasting
  • Coach and guide the team in developing consultative and solution-based sales skills through all facets of the sales cycle
  • Play a personal and direct role in building and maintaining enduring customer relationships, up to C-level
  • Inspire, motivate and enable personal and career development of team members, both to promote career growth and to increase impact for Stripe
  • Collaborating closely with key stakeholders across Sales, Product/Connect, Sales Ops, S&O, Marketing, GTM Partnerships, and others
  • Participate in industry events to help support positive market awareness

Minimum requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant sales experience
  • Sales management experience
  • Experience consistently forecasting and managing a high growth business for multiple quarters
  • Thrives in settings with a high level of autonomy to create strategy, direction, and structure
  • Ability to hire, train, and coach a high-performance sales team
  • Ability to build executive relationships with customers and ecosystem partners
  • Ability to understand and articulate technical concepts, and translate them into industry or business relevant terms
  • Professional fluency in English and Italian or Spanish
