Team mission
Our FP&A team drives sustainable growth through strategic financial planning and data-driven insights as trusted business partners across GetYourGuide. Within Marketing FP&A, we enable intelligent marketing investment decisions and optimal capital allocation. As a key member of this team, you'll be at the forefront of delivering robust forecasts, strategic business partnering, and financial insights that maximise long-term shareholder value.
Based in the Berlin headquarters and reporting to the Director of Marketing FP&A you will work closely with the CFO, CMO & Corporate Development teams to drive timely and effective decision making. You will combine detailed analysis with clear storytelling, turning complex data into recommendations that the exec team and the board can act on.
Your mission
- Revenue and margin forecasting. Own the revenue forecast across our forecast, budget, outlook and long term plan. This covers business model mix, commission rate, ticket margin, booking window, cancellations, coupons and net revenue. You will also lead one of our quarterly outlooks that informs board discussions.
- Insight and exec reporting. Defining key financial and operational metrics, challenging assumptions to find risks and opportunities, and shaping the narrative behind the forecast for MBR and board materials and own Month End Close.
- Marketing partnership. Partnering with the marketing team (up to 30% of the role, varying through the year) across the teams including attribution, incrementality and iROI. You will give clear recommendations on where to invest. Over time, work across and learn multiple marketing areas and P&L pillars.
- Long term planning. Support the long term planning process by providing revenue assumptions and reviewing the model with senior planners. You will learn the full marketing P&L, from gross merchandise value (GMV) to ad spend and contribution margin, and cover for senior planners when needed.
- Next generation forecasting. Help shape our new forecasting model by sharing ideas on driver logic, then test it against actual results as it runs alongside our current system. You will see how a modern forecasting model is built and help decide when it is ready to use.
Your toolkit
- 5+ years of relevant experience and qualifications within a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
- A passion for financial modelling with a track record of developing industry-leading models to drive financial strategy and growth.
- Strong AI proficiency, confidently using AI tools in forecasting and analysis.
- Excellent skills in using systems and tools, with experience in ERP or CPM systems (e.g., OneStream) is a plus.
- Strong analytical mindset with intellectual curiosity, combining data analysis with sound business judgement to solve complex problems and influence strategic decisions.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to distill complex analyses into clear recommendations for C-level executives.
- Proficiency in database querying, experience with BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau), and a basic understanding of data warehouse architecture.
- Results-oriented mindset, thriving in a fast-paced environment and taking the initiative to drive work.
- Proficiency in English, both oral and written.
