For a skilled inventory lead, this role offers significant impact and leadership opportunities within a fast-scaling defense technology company.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee receiving, inspection, documentation, labeling, and strategic material placement across stockroom and warehouse locations.

  • Maintain high transactional integrity within Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.

  • Design, implement, and maintain efficient stockroom layouts and materials flow procedures to maximize space utilization and picking throughput.

  • Lead robust cycle count programs, root-cause variance analyses, and reconcile inventory discrepancies.

  • Establish streamlined kitting, staging, and material replenishment protocols to ensure smooth handoffs to production lines.

  • Enforce material traceability and serialization standards across receiving, storage, and assembly phases.

  • Partner with Quality Assurance to manage Non-Conforming Material and NCR processes, vendor returns, and incoming quality holds.

  • Support shipping, receiving, and other material handling activities as needed.

  • Follow established receiving and inventory procedures while providing feedback on opportunities to make them better.

  • Work closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Operations to keep materials moving and support changing production priorities.

  • Author, refine, and standardize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for inventory control, materials receiving, and warehouse operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate recordkeeping.

  • Ability to stay organized while balancing multiple priorities.

  • Willingness to perform hands-on warehouse, receiving, and material handling work every day.
